Ann Selzer\u2019s company, Selzer &#038; Company, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/news\/politics\/iowa-poll\/2024\/06\/17\/2024-election-donald-trump-vs-joe-biden-vs-robert-kennedy-jr-iowa-poll\/74088665007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found<\/a> that former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a> got 50% support among likely voters, 18 points ahead of Biden. Independent candidate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/robert-f-kennedy-jr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Robert F. John McCain (R-AZ), also suggested that Biden appears to be in jeopardy of losing in Wisconsin \u2014 a state in which he narrowly defeated Trump in the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no scenario where Trump wins Iowa by 18 points but loses Wisconsin,\u201d McCain said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MeghanMcCain\/status\/1802687811495014411\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a> to X. \u201cAnn Selzer is arguably the best pollster in the country (certainly Iowa) and her polls should be taken extremely seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Like in Wisconsin, Trump lost to Biden in Michigan and Pennsylvania in 2020 after he beat Hillary Clinton in those states in 2016.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1712932862202000&#038;usg=AOvVaw0plT8RRdMy9XUpIhocnjQS\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIowa is a red state and won\u2019t be competitive in 2024, but the gold-standard Selzer poll is still valuable for this reason: IA has had a 7-10 point delta with key battlegrounds like WI\/MI\/PA in the last two elections, so the size of Trump\u2019s lead matters. (DJT won it by 8 in \u201920.),\u201d NBC News reporter Sahil Kapur <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/sahilkapur\/status\/1802730170249294215\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">observed.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Polls across the country have, on average, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolling.com\/polls\/president\/general\/2024\/trump-vs-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reflected<\/a> a close match-up between Trump and Biden. They are poised to face off in their first debate of the 2024 election cycle next week. Kennedy does not currently qualify for the debate, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/06\/16\/robert-kennedy-jr-ballot-access-cnn-debate-elections-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">may yet meet the criteria<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Statistician Nate Silver recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/statistician-nate-silver-its-more-than-fair-to-ask-if-biden-should-drop-out-amid-all-time-low-approval-ratings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">floated<\/a> the idea of Biden dropping out as the best option for Democrats given the president\u2019s low approval ratings.
