Kennedy \u2064Jr. is set to\u200b address the annual\u200d convention of the National Sheriffs\u2019 Association in \u2064Oklahoma City next week. Historically, the\u200d sheriffs have been\u200b instrumental in collaborating with the\u2063 U.S. Border Patrol to manage \u2063and control illegal immigration, often aligning \u2063with former President Donald Trump\u2019s policies to \u2064enhance border security. It remains uncertain \u200cwhether Trump will also be speaking at this year\u2019s conference. Kennedy Jr.<\/a> is taking his commonsense call to end the border crisis to a group on the front lines: America\u2019s sheriffs.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsaconference.org\/\" title>National Sheriffs\u2019 Association<\/a> told Secrets that the populist will address the group\u2019s annual convention in Oklahoma City next week. He will sit for a talk for 30 minutes on Tuesday and address border, crime, and mental health issues.<\/p>\n<p>The sheriffs have played a critical role on the border, working arm-in-arm with the U.S. Border Patrol to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sen-graham-says-border-wall-is-effective-should-be-completed\/\" title=\"Sen. Graham says border wall is effective, should be completed\">fight illegal immigration<\/a>. Kennedy Jr (@RobertKennedyJr) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RobertKennedyJr\/status\/1751430954151792818?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 28, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Much more than President Joe Biden or his border coordinator and Vice President Kamala Harris, Kennedy has made visits over the past two years to the southern border with Mexico and met with agents, sheriffs, and the media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s spent more time at the border than our border czar,\u201d Yuma County, Arizona, Sheriff Leon Wilmot said recently.<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy recently said of the border crisis, \u201cThis is not a good thing for our country, it\u2019s not a good thing for these people, and it is unsustainable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He has called for the immediate closure of the border to illegal crossings and said that Biden could do it with an executive order, as Trump did in 2017.
