The research\u2063 found that a significant majority, 63.6%,\u2064 desisted from their transgender identities within five years, and many had at least one other psychological condition. The study,\u2062 conducted by the Central Institute for Statutory Health Insurance in Germany, reviewed medical\u2064 billing records,\u200b highlighting \u200ca notable increase in gender \u200didentity disorder diagnoses among 15-\u2063 to  \u200bBest19-year-olds, especially females, with diagnoses rising by 780%. Still, adjusted figures point to a near three-fold increase (289%).<\/p>\n<p>This research aligns with global studies, such as one from the Netherlands, showing similarly high desistance rates and increased mental health\u200d issues like autism and ADHD among \u2064those who initially\u2064 identify as transgender. Critically, this has sparked discussions on the effectiveness and safety of \u200dthe affirmation model used in transgender care, prompting a reevaluation \u2062of current healthcare approaches toward gender dysphoria. Researchers, who tracked all children and young adults diagnosed with gender dysphoria over a nine-year period, found a similar supermajority of trans people suffered from at least one other psychological condition.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerzteblatt.de\/int\/archive\/article\/239563\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Central Institute for Statutory Health Insurance<\/a> in Germany reviewed all the medical billing records from the nation\u2019s health care providers for insured people between the ages of five and 24 diagnosed with gender identity disorders from 2013 to 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers then combed through the data to identify trends in the number of children and adolescents diagnosed with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jk-rowling-tells-harry-potter-stars-save-apologies-new-report-transgenderism-youths\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">transgenderism<\/a>, including the prevalence, demographics, and duration of those struggling with their gender identity.<\/p>\n<p>Two out of three young people medically diagnosed with gender dysphoria will no longer identify as a member of the opposite sex within five years. Researchers found overall that 63.6 percent of trans children and adolescents desisted from their clinically-confirmed gender diagnosis, and \u201conly 36.4 percent had a confirmed [gender identity disorder] diagnosis after five years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Experts found the majority of all people who identified as transgender desisted during that time frame. The most likely group to change its mind is 15- to -19-year-old females, with 72.7 percent desisting. But a majority (50.3 percent) of young men who came to their transgender identity in adulthood (males age 20-24) also desisted in five years.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, nearly three quarters of young people who identify as transgender (72.4 percent) had at least one other psychiatric condition.<\/p>\n<p>Trans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/revealed-growing-number-young-people-now-identify-gender-season\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">young people<\/a> were most likely to suffer from depressive disorders \u2014 an outright majority of females (57.5 percent) and about half of males (49.3 percent, female), as well as \u201canxiety disorders (23.5 percent\/34.0 percent), emotionally unstable personality disorders of the borderline type (12.1 percent\/17.6 percent), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/this-is-how-adderall-affects-your-brain\/\" title=\"This is How Adderall Affects Your Brain\">attention deficit\/hyperactivity disorder<\/a> (12.7 percent\/12.6 percent), and post-traumatic stress disorder (9.9 percent\/13.6 percent).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith regard to psychiatric comorbidities, our results are consistent with the literature, at least for depressive disorders,\u201d they note.<\/p>\n<p>The number of young people identified with gender identity disorders rose by 780 percent. Although they note some of this increase is due to the way the condition is coded, correcting for this still shows a nearly three-fold increase in transgender diagnoses (289 percent).<\/p>\n<p>They pointed out that other studies show similar increases in the number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/young-boys-heart-restarts-14-hours-family-fervently-prays-stunning-doctors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">doctors<\/a> identifying young people as transgender, ranging from 280 percent to an incredible 1,019 percent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn almost all years, the highest prevalence of\u201d transgender-related diagnoses \u201cwere found in the age group of 15- to 19-year-old female adolescents,\u201d they noted.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers say the reason for this spike could vary from \u201creal increase in prevalence\u201d and \u201cincreased awareness, decreasing stigmatization\u201d to \u201csocial contagion\u201d or \u201coverdiagnosis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFurther research into the reasons for the low persistence of diagnosis and the observed increase in prevalence is required,\u201d the researchers conclude. \u201cIn the meantime, the stability of diagnosis and the high prevalence of accompanying mental disorders should be taken into account in recommendations for starting gender reassignment therapy in adolescence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those results track with verifiable, expert data flooding in from around the world. A team of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/many-americans-forget-reason-memorial-day-grateful-dutch-people-preserving-memory-field-white-crosses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dutch<\/a> researchers came to nearly identical conclusions earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>After reviewing the records of 2,772 adolescents aged 11-26 in the Netherlands, they found a desistance rate of 64 percent. Young people were nearly 10-times more likely to feel\u00a0better\u00a0about their birth sex than worse during that time frame, <a href=\"https:\/\/washingtonstand.com\/news\/two-out-of-three-kids-will-no-longer-identify-as-transgender-by-adulthood-massive-study-finds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the study reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGender non-contentedness, while being relatively common during early adolescence, in general decreases with age and appears to be associated with a poorer self-concept and mental health throughout development,\u201d they found.<\/p>\n<p>Other studies have found people who identify as transgender or nonbinary are up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2023\/01\/15\/1149318664\/transgender-and-non-binary-people-are-up-to-six-times-more-likely-to-have-autism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">six times as likely<\/a> to be diagnosed with autism\u00a0than the norm. Pediatric transgender facility whistleblower <a href=\"https:\/\/ago.mo.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-07-2023-reed-affidavit-signed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jamie Reed<\/a> revealed that \u201cnearly all children who came to the Center here presented with very serious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rnc-chair-condemns-biden-abortion-policy\/\" title=\"RNC chair condemns Biden abortion policy\">mental health problems<\/a>.\u201d She specifically identified autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, OCD, and eating disorders.<\/p>\n<p>The combination of these studies and growing weaknesses in the transgender \u201cstandards of care,\u201d based on low-quality studies and drawn up by transgender activists, have led many nations to reconsider the way healers deal with gender dysphoria.<\/p>\n<p>The current U.S. affirmation model holds that health care professionals should affirm anyone who presents as transgender and start that adult, or child, down a pathway of \u201cgender-affirming care\u201d that may include potentially sterilizing puberty blockers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/christian-mother-sues-state-of-oregon-over-denied-adoption-due-to-her-gender-beliefs\/\" title=\"Christian mother sues state of Oregon over denied adoption due to her gender beliefs\">cross-sex hormone injections<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/us-doctor-indicted-exposing-secret-transgender-surgeries-childrens-hospital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">transgender surgeries<\/a> to remove healthy breasts and reproductive organs.<\/p>\n<p>But the groundbreaking <a href=\"https:\/\/washingtonstand.com\/news\/remarkably-weak-evidence-groundbreaking-uk-report-slams-puberty-blockers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cass Review<\/a> in the U.K. found \u201cremarkably weak evidence\u201d undergirds these criteria. <a href=\"https:\/\/washingtonstand.com\/news\/leaked-files-reveal-wpaths-awareness-of-debilitating-potentially-fatal-effects-of-trans-procedures\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leaked files<\/a> from the primary medical group driving gender dysphoria diagnoses, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, similarly undermined the affirmation model.<\/p>\n<p>Bucking the trend among their colleagues, and standing up to professional ostracization, a growing number of medical experts have spoken out against the present consensus. \u201cTransition affirmation is not proven to be safe or effective long term,\u201d\u00a0said <a href=\"https:\/\/washingtonstand.com\/news\/american-doctors-sign-declaration-protecting-children-from-gender-procedures\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Andre Van Mol<\/a>, representing the American College of Pediatricians,\u00a0the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, and the American Academy of Medical Ethics earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt does not reduce suicides. It does not <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/medical-organizations-urge-end-to-transgender-surgeries-for-kids\/\" title=\"Medical Groups Call for Halt on Transgender Surgeries for Minors\">repair mental health issues<\/a> or trauma. Minors cannot give truly informed consent. Children have developing and immature brains. Their minds change often. They are prone to risk taking, they are vulnerable to peer pressure, and they don\u2019t grasp long term consequences.\u201d And as such, he contended, \u201cRefusing to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oklahoma-bans-trans-procedures-for-those-under-26\/\" title=\"Oklahoma Bans Trans Procedures For Those Under 26\">provide gender transition procedures<\/a> or so-called gender affirming health care is non-discriminatory and is appropriate both professionally and scientifically.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The peer-reviewed Deutsches \u00c4rzteblatt International will publish <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerzteblatt.de\/int\/archive\/article\/239563\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the English text<\/a> of the paper, titled \u201cGender identity disorders among young people in Germany: prevalence and trends, 2013\u20132022.
