Bongino, who hosts &#8220;The\u200b Dan Bongino Show&#8221; on Rumble and has experience as a NYPD and Secret Service officer, predicted a win for \u2064Trump, \u2064citing a significantly altered coalition that seemed to defy earlier expectations. Initially, after events like January 6, \u2062many thought\u200b Trump would lose significant support; however, polling data showed strong backing from groups like Hispanic\u200c and black voters, working-class males, and notably, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/labor-unions-lash-out-over-job-killing-energy-policies\/\" title=\"Labor unions lash out over job killing energy policies\">union workers<\/a>. Bongino emphasized that Trump&#8217;s ability to attract these\u2064 groups might be his lasting impact on the \u2062Republican Party.\u200c Shapiro added that Trump&#8217;s appeal in 2024 might stem from his moderate positioning on various issues,\u2064 which could\u2062 attract a broad spectrum of voters.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>In a new \u201cSunday Special\u201d interview, Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro spoke to Dan Bongino about who he thinks will win this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/are-covid-case-surges-more-fake-news\/\" title=\"Are COVID Case Surges More Fake News?\">presidential election<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Shapiro started their hour-long discussion by asking Bongino to predict who will claim victory in November, President Biden or former President Donald Trump. Bongino is the <a href=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/c\/Bongino\/videos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">host<\/a> of \u201cThe Dan Bongino Show\u201d on Rumble and a former Fox News host as well as a former NYPD and Secret Service officer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you had to put money on it today, who do you think wins, Trump or Biden?\u201d Shapiro asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know, listen, predictions kill me because it\u2019s one of those things, like everybody\u2019s got one. But unless you can back it up with some data, it\u2019s kind of meaningless,\u201d Bongino began.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Donald Trump is going to win,\u201d he said. \u201cBut there\u2019s a reason. The coalition is completely different. And this is where I think everybody miscalculated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/episode\/can-america-be-saved-dan-bongino-member-exclusive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WATCH THE FULL \u2018SUNDAY SPECIAL\u2019 EPISODE WITH DAN BONGINO<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bongino said that in 2021 with the \u201ccrazy\u201d news cycle and the Left\u2019s \u201chysteria\u201d around January 6 and other things, people thought about Trump, \u201cThis guy\u2019s going to get smoked.\u201d People believed suburban moms and independents would abandon Trump, Bongino said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd then this moment happened,\u201d Bongino said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow you see the raw data, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-despite-flood-of-accusations-most-ny-democrats-dont-want-cuomo-to-resign\/\" title=\"Poll: Despite Flood Of Accusations, Most NY Democrats Don\u2019t Want Cuomo To Resign\">polling numbers<\/a>. The Trump coalition\u2019s just different. Hispanic voters, black voters, you\u2019re seeing working class males in droves, and most importantly union workers. My brother\u2019s a Local Three electrician. He doesn\u2019t know a single person voting for Biden. When did the Republicans ever win the union vote?\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn my humble opinion, Ben, I think Trump\u2019s lasting gift outside of the Supreme Court, the Abraham Accords, and other things, I really believe this, I think his real gift to the Republican Party is going to be that he completely altered the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/matt-gaetz-argues-for-every-karen-maga-loses-theres-a-julio-and-a-jamal-ready-to-sign-up\/\" title=\"Gaetz claims that for every 'Karen' MAGA loses, there are 'Julio' and 'Jamal' waiting to join\">coalition moving forward<\/a>,\u201d Bongino said.<\/p>\n<p>Shapiro noted that Obama\u2019s 2012 victory was notable because he \u201cbasically decided to abandon the middle and run directly to his base.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe magic of Donald Trump in 2024, shockingly, is that he is the moderate candidate in this race,\u201d Shapiro said. \u201cIf you look at him, positionally, Donald Trump has grabbed the middle on every single issue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA hundred percent,\u201d Bongino agreed, adding that, \u201cit\u2019s funny when people paint this guy as this far-right conservative dictator,\u201d especially when his first term had \u201cquite a moderate agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bongino went on to note that some \u201cold school\u201d conservatives are sometimes bothered by Trump\u2019s \u201ctransactional\u201d political style, especially when it comes to hot-button issues like abortion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI always say, we can argue tax policy all we want, but if you\u2019re dead, you\u2019re not really paying taxes. So that\u2019s like kind of my thing. Don\u2019t whack babies,\u201d Bongino said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut he\u2019s transactional,\u201d he said. \u201cHe looks at something and goes, \u2018Okay, you want to save x number of babies. You\u2019re not going to get that done in this state. So how about we do this?&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut then you\u2019re like, he\u2019s not wrong about the politics \u2026 Maybe the Republican Party needs more of a transactionalist,\u201d Bongino said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou had asked in the beginning, can we keep this going, and the answer is, I\u2019m not sure. I\u2019m not sure we have this great bench of people who can blend this new populism with conservatism,\u201d Bongino said.<\/p>\n<p>Shapiro and Bongino also discussed the Biden campaign, Bongino noting that President Biden is not the same now as when he debated Paul Ryan in 2012. Biden is set to debate former President Donald Trump on June 27.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s a different guy now. He\u2019s got this anger issue. It\u2019s a serious anger issue. He can\u2019t seem to control himself anymore especially when his son is brought up,\u201d Bongino said. \u201cSo I think what Trump should do, and I\u2019ve said this repeatedly even to him is they need to bring props. I\u2019m not talking about a big rubber ducky or anything. He needs to pull out a copy of that check, that $40,000 check and be like \u2018Joe, it says Joe Biden, $40,000, where\u2019d it come from, Joe? Explain.\u2019 He\u2019ll lose his mind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I think Biden agreeing to the debate was a really, really awful idea,\u201d Bongino said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery day he changes his mind because he\u2019s too stupid to have a position,\u201d Bongino said. \u201cBut the problem he\u2019s going to have on the second point here is none of this is changeable. He\u2019s only getting older. He obviously has some cognitive frontal lobe dementia if you just look at him. None of his policies are changeable. The economy is not going to turn around.
