Despite this, Biden stated\u2064 there would be no pardon for his son, emphasizing his support for \u200bHunter while respecting the \u200dlegal verdict.<\/p>\n<p>On the \u2063international stage, Biden attended the G7 economic summit in Italy, met with Pope France, and engaged in discussions related to aiding\u200c Ukraine. His jet landed at 2:41 a.m., refueled, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forth.news\/whpool\/666d49633a5cf3e43f3e4896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>took off an hour later<\/a> for Los Angeles, where Biden will host a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kathy-hochul-kicked-out-of-nypd-officers-wake-report\/\" title=\"Kathy Hochul reportedly asked to leave NYPD officer's wake\">celebrity-packed fundraiser<\/a> on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The trip followed another that ended at the beginning of the week when the president returned from D-Day celebrations in France. Once home, he saw his son Hunter convicted of three gun felonies.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<blockquote data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Biden had outraised Trump before his predecessor started making up ground in April, post-primary. But despite Trump\u2019s legal costs, Biden\u2019s cash on hand advantage could be gone. The U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Supreme-Court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Supreme Court<\/a> okayed the continued use of an abortion pill, and inflation plateaued. However, polls continued to show that he was falling behind Trump in the 2024 presidential race. Even the University of Virginia political team led by Larry Sabato, a Biden fan and Trump critic, conceded that key battleground states are shifting to Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Conservative grader Jed Babbin graded the week an \u201cF\u201d and highlighted the continued immigration crisis that led to the arrest of alleged terrorists who crossed the border. Democratic pollster John Zogby graded Biden\u2019s week a \u201cB-plus\u201d and played up the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/americans-just-dont-buy-that-cnn-anchor-blasts-biden-for-blaming-gas-prices-on-russia\/\" title=\"\u2018Americans Just Don\u2019t Buy\u2019 That: CNN Anchor Blasts Biden For Blaming Gas Prices On Russia\">good economic news<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jed Babbin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>Grade: F<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Another week of major league snickers for those of us observing the Biden crew. President Joe Biden supposedly is buying $104 million in Chinese solar panels for U.S. government buildings, the Russians are dragging their coats along our coast and lying about former President Donald Trump were this week\u2019s highlights.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The $104 million gift to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/China\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>China<\/a> for solar panels is purportedly undermined by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin promising to not use Chinese panels for the roof of the Pentagon. Why is any money being wasted on this nonsense?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Russians are using the week for naval drills, including subs and frigates in the Caribbean Sea, very close to U.S. shores. They\u2019re doing that as a counter to Biden\u2019s letting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Ukraine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Ukraine<\/a> use U.S.-made weapons to strike inside Russia and to show they\u2019re not afraid of whatever we\u2019ll do. The ships are reportedly equipped with hypersonic missiles and, possibly, nuclear weapons. The media is suspiciously quiet about it all.<\/em><\/p>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<blockquote data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The latest account shows that President Biden was personally handling his dogs during incidents of biting secret service. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/GsJMwpq45Y\">https:\/\/t.co\/GsJMwpq45Y<\/a> If this were any other family, there would be a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-witnessed-his-dog-attack-multiple-secret-service-members-document\/\" title=\"Document Reveals Biden's Dog Attacked Several Secret Service Members\">strict liability tort action<\/a> against the Bidens. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/5yJxoGShKw\">https:\/\/t.co\/5yJxoGShKw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jonathan Turley (@JonathanTurley) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JonathanTurley\/status\/1801641833195311388?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 14, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p><em>The biggest story is that eight Tajikistani men \u2014 all illegal aliens \u2014 were arrested for allegedly plotting terrorist acts in the U.S. There are about two million \u201cgotaways,\u201d those illegals who have evaded Border Patrol and other police entirely \u2014 who have escaped into the U.S. How many more are plotting terrorist acts against us? Nobody knows, least of all, the FBI and Homeland Security.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And then there\u2019s Biden, repeating the often-told lie about Trump refusing to visit the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in France and calling the soldiers buried there \u201closers.\u201d It never happened, according to several Trump staff who were present at the time. He never called the soldiers \u201closers,\u201d and the visit was canceled due to weather conditions. But Biden keeps repeating the lie, like so many other lies he seems wedded to.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The funniest incident came when Secretary of State <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Antony-Blinken\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Antony Blinken<\/a> finally figured out that it is Hamas \u2014 not Israel \u2014 that is the main obstacle to peace in the Gaza Strip. Well, duh.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And at the G7 economic summit in southern Italy this week, Biden signed a deal with Ukraine that he believes obligates us to aid it for 10 years. Nonsense. Like the awful Obama nuke deal with Iran, it\u2019s just an agreement that any succeeding president can vacate. Not only that, every aid package has to be passed by Congress. Just more stuff and nonsense from Old Joe.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>John Zogby<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>Grade: B+<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>A big focus of the week was the conviction of President Joe Biden\u2019s son, Hunter, on three <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/perry-verdict-shows-urgency-to-confront-blue-city-prosecutors\/\" title=\"Perry Verdict Displays Urgency To Face Blue City's's Attorneys\">felony charges related<\/a> to an illegal gun purchase. The event was a first in presidential history.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>It was also the first time that a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/president\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>president<\/a> (or even a former one) accepted the jury\u2019s verdict. Biden responded by proclaiming his love for Hunter, and promised that there would be no pardon or commutation. Warning to those who are gleeful: this can backfire as many Americans who persevere through personal tragedies may just rally around Biden again.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This was otherwise a good week for him as the rate of inflation actually declined slightly, wholesale prices dipped, and new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/FBI\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>FBI<\/a> statistics showed historic declines in violent crimes, with murders showing the biggest drop.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Inflation and crime are the two top issues in John Zogby Strategies\u2019 polls (as in most other polls) and, as my mom would say, this new data is \u201cbetter than a kick in the pants\u201d for the president.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The president got to act on the world stage in both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Paris<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Italy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Italy<\/a>, which never hurts.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Meanwhile, back in Washington, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of continued access to the so-called abortion pill, a victory for liberals, moderates, and conservatives (especially those with teen daughters).
