The energy peaked during \u201c\u2026Ready For \u2064It?\u201d due to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-barbie-trailer-parodies-stanley-kubricks-2001-a-space-odyssey-intro\/\" title=\"New \u2018Barbie\u2019 Trailer Parodies Stanley Kubrick\u2019s \u20182001: A Space Odyssey\u2019 Intro\">synchronized dancing<\/a> at 160 beats per minute, with the crowd generating power equivalent to 10 to 16 car batteries.\u2063 This activity \u2062was primarily driven \u2063by\u200c the combination of loud bass and coordinated crowd movements, and referred \u200dto as &#8220;ground shaking&#8221; by \u2064scientists.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/taylor-swift\">Taylor Swift<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-weekend-sports-update\/\" title=\"The Weekend Sports Update\">fans attending<\/a> her concerts in Edinburgh, Scotland, for her massively popular Eras Tour danced so hard that they registered as seismic activity during each of her three shows.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The British Geological Survey (BGS) confirmed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/earthquake\">earthquake<\/a> readings could be detected up to 6 km (around 4 miles) away from Swift\u2019s concerts last weekend at Murrayfield Stadium, per <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/taylor-swift-concerts-earthquake-edinburgh-scotland-seismic-activity-eras-tour-fans-dancing\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CBS News<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The outlet noted that BGS said the most seismic activity occurred during Swift\u2019s performance of three songs:\u00a0 \u201c\u2026Ready For It?\u201d \u201cCruel Summer\u201d and \u201cchampagne problems.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cDancing in time to the music and reached its peak at 160 beats per minute (bpm) during \u2018\u2026Ready For It?\u2019, where the crowd was transmitting approximately 80 kW of power (equivalent to around 10 to16 car batteries),\u201d the BGS noted. The loud bass in that song and the dancing generated the activity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Scientists referred to the event as \u201cground shaking,\u201d noting that Swift\u2019s Friday night show caused the most seismic activity, delivering 23.4 nanometres (nm) of movement. The crowd and music on Saturday generated 22.8 nm, while it was 23.3 nm on Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The report noted that the fans attending the shows were likely the only ones to notice the shaking. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is not the first time seismic activity has been detected from a crowd. CBS noted that the same phenomenon happened at Swift\u2019s stop in Seattle last summer. At the time, it was dubbed a \u201cSwift Quake.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1716990157394000&#038;usg=AOvVaw33qQydjIo8bet419amChif\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Seismologist Jackie Caplan-Auerbach told <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2023\/07\/27\/entertainment\/taylor-swift-seismic-activity\/index.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CNN<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  at the time that the seismic activity was \u201cequivalent [to] a 2.3 magnitude earthquake.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI grabbed the data from both nights of the concert and quickly noticed they were clearly the same pattern of signals,\u201d Caplan-Auerback told the outlet. \u201cIf I overlay them on top of each other, they\u2019re nearly identical.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ground shaking from large crowds of fans expressing enthusiasm is not limited to concerts. According to CBS, seismic activity occurred during a 2011 NFL playoff game at Qwest Field when the Seattle Seahawks hosted the New Orleans Saints.
