Domenici,\u2062 who has worked at major financial\u200d firms and is the daughter of\u200b the late New \u200dMexico Republican senator\u200d Pete Domenici, might use Heinrich\u2019s own financial \u2063ties against him \u2064in their electoral contest.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/martin-heinrich\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Martin Heinrich<\/a> (D-NM), who is seeking a third term this November, has made it a point on the campaign trail to brand his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/republican\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Republican<\/a> challenger, ex-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/free-beacon-poll-mccormick-overtakes-oz-in-pa-primary\/\" title=\"Free Beacon Poll: McCormick Overtakes Oz in PA Primary\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-markets-spooked-causing-problems-with-multiple-online-traders-and-trading-companies\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Markets Spooked Causing Problems with Multiple Online Traders and Trading Companies\">hedge fund<\/a> executive<\/a> Nella Domenici, as out-of-touch for her ties to Wall Street. That hasn\u2019t stopped Heinrich from raking in donations from financial industry political action committees, as well as private equity, hedge fund, and venture capitalist firm executives, records show. <\/p>\n<p>Over roughly the last decade, PACs associated with major <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/banking\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>banks<\/a> steered more than $330,000 to Heinrich\u2019s campaign and leadership PAC, according to Federal Election Commission filings reviewed by the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/new-mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>New Mexico<\/a> Democrat, filings show, also accepted at least $450,000 from executives at influential firms.<\/p>\n<p>Heinrich\u2019s willingness to pocket the checks, including this election cycle, will likely open him up to hypocrisy charges from Republicans as the Democrat runs against Domenici. In a fundraising <a href=\"https:\/\/politicalemails.org\/messages\/1413049\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>email<\/a> last month, Heinrich said Domenici has \u201cbuilt a career out of making the ultra-wealthy wealthier,\u201d citing the Republican candidate\u2019s financial disclosure showing she and her husband hold up to $94 million in assets. <\/p>\n<p>Domenici used to work at Bridgewater Associates, a Connecticut-based investment firm, as well as Citadel, Credit Suisse, and other companies. She is the daughter of the late former New Mexico Republican senator Pete Domenici, who died in 2017. <\/p>\n<figure><figcaption>Sen. Franklin)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWell once you\u2019ve made your fortune off selling out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-walks-away-when-asked-about-the-sacrifices-hes-asking-american-workers-to-make-as-he-kills-thousands-of-jobs-video\/\" title=\"Biden Walks Away When Asked About the Sacrifices He\u2019s Asking American Workers to Make as He Kills Thousands of Jobs (VIDEO)\">national interests<\/a> and exploiting American workers, the next logical step is obviously the U.S. Senate,\u201d Heinrich <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/martinheinrich\/status\/1800513412155249057?s=46\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>posted<\/a> on social media in June in response to an article on Domenici. <\/p>\n<p>Upon Domenici entering the race, Heinrich told supporters in a fundraising email that he\u2019s \u201cnot in this fight to prop up Wall Street,\u201d highlighting his Republican challenger\u2019s \u201clong career as a hedge fund executive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Still, executives have continued to boost Heinrich\u2019s campaign, according to filings. They work at top firms such as Bain Capital, Blackrock, Blackstone, Lone Pine Capital, and Schooner Capital. <\/p>\n<p>And Heinrich\u2019s campaign and leadership PAC, filings show, hasn\u2019t sworn off donations from the likes of banking giant UBS, the American Bankers Association, Citigroup, Blackrock, Wells Fargo, and other corporate PACs, according to a <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> analysis.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Heinrich\u2019s campaign did not return a request for comment. <\/p>\n<p>The Cook Political Report, a nonpartisan elections tracker, rates his Senate seat as \u201csolid\u201d blue. Still, a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/corner\/nrsc-commissioned-poll-suggests-gops-new-mexico-senate-nominee-nella-domenici-has-room-to-grow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>poll<\/a> commissioned by Domenici and the National Republican Senatorial Committee found Heinrich leading the GOP hopeful by just three percentage points.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sen.
