Upper III<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   June 13, 2024 at 10:15am <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>The chairman of the Committee on House Administration has subpoenaed the heads of 14 executive departments as well as the director of the Office of Management and Budget \u2014 all members of President Joe Biden\u2019s Cabinet \u2014 to obtain information about how each has implemented or plans to implement one of Biden\u2019s executive orders.<\/p>\n<p>In a Thursday news release (full text below), the committee said that it had begun an investigation into Biden\u2019s Executive Order 14019, \u201cPromoting Access to Voting,\u201d soon after Biden signed it, which was in March of 2021, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/house-committee-subpoenas-15-biden-cabinet-secretaries-hand-over-docs-voter-mobilization-scheme\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Committee Chairman Bryan Steil requested documents from the 15 Cabinet members on May 15 about what he called \u201cBidenbucks\u201d and described as an \u201cattempt by the Biden Administration to tilt the scales ahead of 2024,\u201d and had received no response after nearly a month. Thus, the subpoenas.<\/p>\n<p>Among other things, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/03\/07\/executive-order-on-promoting-access-to-voting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden\u2019s order<\/a> requires that \u201c[e]xecutive departments and agencies (agencies) should partner with State, local, Tribal, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watchdog-dojs-election-plan-raises-threat-of-selective-enforcement-against-red-states\/\" title=\"Watchdog: DOJ's Election Plan Raises Threat of \"Selective Enforcement\" Against Red States\">territorial election officials<\/a> to protect and promote the exercise of the right to vote, eliminate discrimination and other barriers to voting, and expand access to voter registration and accurate election information.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/cha.house.gov\/_cache\/files\/3\/e\/3eda90a0-8a2d-4ce5-b3c0-cd2947d84f03\/90B7F31929B950CEEDC87CAAD6D35AE5.steil-eo-14019-subpoena-cover-letter.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cover letter<\/a> accompanying the subpoenas, Steil wrote that his committee \u201chas concerns about the implementation of E.O. 14019, particularly regarding its compatibility with provisions of the National Voter Registration Act (NRA) of 1993.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His argument is that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/congress-unites-invite-netanyahu-speak-socialist-bernie-sanders-responds-disgusting-way\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Congress<\/a> \u2014 not the president \u2014 funds the executive departments and grants them the authority to engage in specific acts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCongress\u2019s delegation of authority to [the departments] does not include using funds and resources to provide Americans with voter registration materials,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The Wisconsin Republican told Fox in a statement that the order was a \u201cscheme\u201d designed to get the federal agencies to engage in \u201cpartisan activities\u201d that Congress has never funded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[I]t\u2019s no wonder Team Biden is using their authority and resources to target welfare populations with a federally funded get-out-the-vote effort,\u201d Foundation for Government Accountability president and CEO Tarren Bragdon told Fox.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Is there a scheme to tilt the scales on 2024 underway?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cIf they are allowed to fully execute their plan, it could swing the election outcome,\u201d Bragdon added.<\/p>\n<p>In the Senate, a number of Republicans in November asked the White House for details about how the order was being carried out, and then later wrote a letter to Biden himself \u201cadmonishing\u201d him for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bidens-wins-account-brutally-fact-checked-trying-pin-costcos-1-50-hot-dog-administration-lowering-costs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the administration<\/a>\u2019s lack of response.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn April, a lawsuit challenging the executive order alleged it targeted key demographics to benefit the president\u2019s political party and his own re-election,\u201d Fox reported.<\/p>\n<p>That suit by 27 Republican lawmakers was later dismissed, but has since been appealed to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/supreme-court-rules-social-media-case-gives-citizens-big-power-politicians-block\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supreme Court<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can read the <a href=\"https:\/\/cha.house.gov\/press-releases?ID=2B9E8CC9-4519-4CCC-95DA-7C54118E2DFD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a> from the Committee on House Administration in its entirety below.<\/p>\n<h2>Chairman Steil Subpoenas 15 Cabinet Members for Documents Related to \u2018Bidenbucks\u2019<\/h2>\n<p><em>Today, Committee on House Administration Chairman Bryan Steil (R-WI) issued subpoenas to 15 Biden Administration cabinet officials for documents related to the Biden Administration\u2019s Executive Order on Promoting Access to Voting. President Biden\u2019s Executive Order 14019 directs federal agencies to promote access to voting through the use of federal agency resources. Evidence already shows that the Executive Order partners federal employees with partisan advocates to register voters ahead of the 2024 elections.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Committee on House Administration began an investigation into this Executive Order shortly after it was announced. Chairman Steil first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/national-archives-skips-deadline-to-disclose-biden-classified-docs\/\" title=\"National Archives Skips Deadline to Disclose Biden Classified Docs\">requested documents related<\/a> to the cabinet secretaries work related to E.O. 14019 on May 15, 2024 and, to date, has not received any materials in return.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cElections are partisan, but our election administration should never be partisan.
