Chairman Steil expressed concerns \u200cthat this could undermine election\u2064 integrity by allowing partisan federal employees \u2062to excessively involve themselves in election administrations. The\u200c agencies targeted by the subpoenas \u2063include prominent departments\u200d such as Commerce, Defense, Justice, and Homeland Security, among others.\u200d Steil emphasized the \u2062necessity for\u200c transparency \u2062and accountability, \u2064asserting \u200dthat taxpayer \u2064funds should\u200b not\u200c support partisan activities.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">House Republicans subpoenaed 15 top <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/biden-administration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden<\/a> officials on Thursday over concerns that the administration may be implementing a partisan \u201cscheme\u201d to benefit Democrats in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/2024-election\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2024 election<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil (R-WI) sent out the subpoenas, which ask for documentation on plans made in response to an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/03\/07\/executive-order-on-promoting-access-to-voting\/\">executive order<\/a> from President Joe Biden. The order called for the heads of federal agencies to develop plans to \u201cpromote voter registration and voter participation.\u201d The heads of agencies were told to create \u201cstrategic plans\u201d for how their specific agency would increase voting and voter turnout. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cElections are partisan, but our election administration should never be partisan. Allowing federal employees from the Biden Administration to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-administration-committee-subpoenas-15-biden-cabinet-members\/\" title=\"House Administration Committee issues subpoenas to 15 members of Biden's Cabinet\">flood election administration sites threatens election integrity<\/a> and reduces Americans\u2019 confidence,\u201d Steil <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cha.house.gov\/press-releases?ID=2B9E8CC9-4519-4CCC-95DA-7C54118E2DFD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">said<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. \u201cThis Executive Order is another attempt by the Biden Administration to tilt the scales ahead of 2024.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI will continue working to provide transparency and accountability on this Administration\u2019s latest scheme as Congress did not appropriate taxpayer funds for partisan activities,\u201d the Wisconsin Republican added. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 15 agencies subpoenaed include the Commerce Department, Homeland Security, Defense Department, Justice Department, Education Department, Energy Department, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Interior Department, Labor Department, Office of Management and Budget, State Department, Transportation Department, Treasury Department and Agriculture Department. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In his <a href=\"https:\/\/cha.house.gov\/_cache\/files\/3\/e\/3eda90a0-8a2d-4ce5-b3c0-cd2947d84f03\/90B7F31929B950CEEDC87CAAD6D35AE5.steil-eo-14019-subpoena-cover-letter.pdf\">letter<\/a>, Steil said that lawmakers were considering passing a legislative repeal to Biden\u2019s order and needed to see the plans to inform their decision. Examples include the Department of Education\u2019s new federal work-study requirements, and the Small Business Administration\u2019s entrance into a voter registration agreement with Michigan,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the House Committee on Small Business <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/federal-govt-agency-subpoenaed-over-alleged-effort-to-register-democrat-voters-in-key-swing-state\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">subpoenaed<\/a> the Small Business Administration (SBA) over its alleged efforts to \u201cregister Democrat voters\u201d in Michigan.
