In response, the Trump An organization has \u2064argued that this review is unwarranted because Donald Trump does not personally \u200dhold the liquor \u2062license.\u2063 According to them,\u200c Trump \u2063is neither the\u2062 holder of any liquor \u200dlicense in New Jersey nor \u2064an officer or director of any entity that possesses such a license.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_79\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/new-jersey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>New Jersey<\/a>\u2019s attorney general is reviewing whether former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s organization will still be able to hold a liquor license following his felony conviction, a move that\u2019s caused the Trump Organization to respond. <\/p>\n<p>The Trump Organization responded to the inquiry by saying it was baseless because Trump himself is not the one with the liquor license. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3025024\/flip-the-script-republicans-harnessing-tremendous-momentum-new-jersey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>New Jersey<\/a> law states that no person should hold a liquor license if they are\u00a0\u201cunder 18 years old\u201d or have \u201cbeen convicted of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dem-amnesty-would-protect-domestic-abusers-republicans-say\/\" title=\"Dem Amnesty Would Protect Domestic Abusers, Republicans Say\">crime involving moral turpitude<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Trump is not the holder of any liquor license in New Jersey, and he is not an officer or director of any entity that holds a liquor license in New Jersey \u2014 or anywhere in the United States for that matter,\u201d a spokesperson for the Trump Organization said in a statement to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/state-watch\/4717673-trump-organization-inquiry-golf-clubs-liquor-licenses-hush-money-case-conviction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>the<em> Hill<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s company <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/state-watch\/4714949-new-jersey-donald-trump-golf-club-liquor-licenses-hush-money-conviction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>currently holds<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-small-town-leadership-can-put-drag-shows-aimed-at-children-on-notice\/\" title=\"How Small-Town Leadership Can Put Drag Shows Aimed At Children On Notice\">liquor licenses<\/a> at three of his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/scottish-parliament-rejects-proposal-to-investigate-trumps-finances\/\" title=\"Scottish Parliament Rejects Proposal to Investigate Trump\u2019s Finances\">golf courses<\/a> in the Garden State: Trump National Golf Club Colts Neck, Lamington Farm Club, and Trump National Golf Club in Pine Hill. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe term \u2018moral turpitude\u2019 denotes a serious crime from the viewpoint of society in general and usually contains elements of dishonesty, fraud or depravity,\u201d New Jersey law states. <\/p>\n<p>New Jersey <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/article\/2024\/jun\/10\/trump-liquor-licenses-at-golf-courses-felony-conviction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>also states<\/a> that those applying for liquor licenses must have a \u201creputable\u201d character and operate their business in a \u201creputable manner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201c[The office] is reviewing the impact of President Trump\u2019s conviction on the above referenced licenses, and declines further comment at this time,\u201d a spokesperson for the attorney general said in an email to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trump-golf-courses-new-jersey-liquor-licenses-3793278b3fe23b0fbccb4d3fde1bed44\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><em>Associated Press<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Upon being sworn into the office of the presidency in 2017, Trump handed the management side of the business down to two of his sons: Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.
