Bryan Steil (R-WI), chairman of the House Administration Committee, is subpoenaing 15 members of Biden\u2019s Cabinet for carrying out an executive order too close to the election. The committee is targeting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/03\/07\/executive-order-on-promoting-access-to-voting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>an executive order<\/a> Biden signed in March 2021 on \u201cpromoting access to voting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Committee has concerns about the implementation of E.O. 14019, particularly regarding its compatibility with provisions of the National Voter Registration Act (NRA) of 1993,\u201d Steil wrote in the letter, noting that congressional authority over federal agencies \u201cdoes not include using funds and resources to provide Americans with voter registration materials.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Steil said Biden\u2019s executive order requires each federal agency to outline a plan about how the agency can \u201cpromote voter registration and voter participation.\u201d He said some agencies like the Department of Education and Small Business Administration have already sent their strategic plans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth of those actions and the actions of other agencies raise substantial questions and concerns, some of which may be answered by access to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-republicans-demand-biden-forfeit-info-over-his-attempt-to-federally-interfere-in-u-s-elections\/\" title=\"GOP Senators want Biden to give up information on his alleged federal election interference.\">strategic plans drafted<\/a> by the agencies,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>Steil framed the executive order as a \u201cscheme\u201d with a partisan agenda. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cElections are partisan, but our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/its-happening-pennsylvania-state-legislature-files-resolution-disputes-statewide-2020-election-results\/\" title=\"It's Happening: Pennsylvania State Legislature Files Resolution -- DISPUTES STATEWIDE 2020 ELECTION RESULTS\">election administration<\/a> should never be partisan.
