Traditionally interpreted as alien activities, UAPs are \u200bargued in\u2063 the paper\u200d using four new theories: remnants of a technologically \u2062advanced ancient human civilization, a non-human terrestrial\u200d civilization\u200c living\u200c in stealth, former extraterrestrial \u2063or\u2064 extratemporal beings concealed on Earth, and magical beings described similarly to fairies or elves. These ideas aim to fill \u2063gaps in conventional explanations of UAPs, often bypassed by \u200bstandard scientific discourse\u200c due to their strange and speculative nature. The article emphasizes the novelty and controversial aspects of these hypotheses, raising skepticism among the scientific community while inviting further discussion and exploration of these unconventional ideas.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/news\/\">  News <\/a>   <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/russdavis\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/russdavis\/%20\"><span>Jack Davis<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   June 12, 2024 at 6:45pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>A new paper, which admits its theories are at the outer limits of reality, is offering a very different reason for unidentified anomalous phenomenon and everything that falls under the umbrella of UAPs.<\/p>\n<p>From the days of little green men onward, the explanation for UAPs has been that there is something, somewhere out there, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/us-troops-iraq-claimed-see-strange-ufo-newly-released-video-shows-jellyfish-real-defies-explanation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">zipping about<\/a> in flying saucers and other such things \u2014 leading to zillions of theories about aliens that are often interesting, occasionally dopey and always lacking in proof.<\/p>\n<p>Along comes a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/publication\/381041896_The_cryptoterrestrial_hypothesis_A_case_for_scientific_openness_to_a_concealed_earthly_explanation_for_Unidentified_Anomalous_Phenomena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">paper<\/a> from researchers at Harvard and Montana Tech of the University of Montana that coined the term \u201ccryptoterrestrial hypothesis,\u201d suggesting that it is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/meghan-mccain-wants-ufos-investigated-petrified-famous-ufo-incident-child\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">alternative<\/a> worth exploring \u2014 the kind of discussion that might take place when debating the merits of Caitlin Clark on the Olympic team has run dry.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that\u00a0the Bible is silent on the topic explored in the paper, although the Bible does make it clear that there are spiritual beings that exist but humans can\u2019t see, and they do interact with us.<\/p>\n<p>The paper said its main hypothesis, which it admittedly frames as less likely than extra-terrestrial life forms, is that there are \u201cintelligent beings concealed in stealth\u201d throughout <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/whats-next-great-awakening-or-great-reset\/\" title=\"What\u2019s Next? Great Awakening or Great Reset?\">human history<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The four theories presented in the hypothesis are all shots in the dark. According to one, there could be a \u201ctechnologically advanced ancient human civilization that was largely destroyed long ago (e.g., by flood), but continued to exist in remnant form.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A second vein of guesswork suggested UAPs and other unexplained behaviors could be laid at the feet of a \u201ctechnologically advanced non-human civilization consisting of some terrestrial animal which evolved to live in stealth (e.g., underground), perhaps a hominid, or alternatively a species much more distantly related to us (e.g., descendants of unknown, \u00a0intelligent dinosaurs).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s a good <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/former-air-force-intelligence-officer-drops-bombshell-know-exact-locations-ufos-united-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">theory<\/a>, though, without some version of little green men?<\/p>\n<p>Option three to explain what cannot be explained is that Earth is home to \u201c[f]ormer extraterrestrial or extratempestrial cryptoterrestrials. Extraterrestrial aliens or our intertemporal descendants who \u2018arrived\u2019 on Earth from elsewhere in the cosmos or from the human future, respectively, and concealed themselves in stealth.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Do you believe aliens live among us?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>There is one final category for those who really like Merlin. The paper dubbed its final group of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ufo-bombshell-feds-possess-intact-advanced-alien-craft-says-us-intelligence-whistleblower\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">theoretical<\/a> beings \u201cMagical Cryptoterrestrials.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They are, it said, \u201c[e]ntities which are less like homegrown aliens and more like earthbound angels, relating to the world inhabited by humans in ways that (at least from our present perspective) are less technological than magical, who are known in European languages by names like fairies, elves, nymphs, etc.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe principal weakness of\u201d the final category, the paper noted, \u00a0\u201cis its utter strangeness, particularly for readers schooled to limit themselves to modes of explanation within the bounds of, say, the standard model of physics. While belief in extraterrestrials is tenable, belief in (something like) fairies is simply not a live option for many scientists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The paper went out of its way to note that these are explanations designed to fill a gap where nothing else fits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe entertain them here because some aspects of UAP are strange enough that they seem to call for unconventional explanations,\u201d the paper said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt may be exceedingly improbable, but hopefully this paper has shown it should nevertheless be kept on the table as we seek to understand the ongoing empirical mystery of UAP,\u201d the paper continued.<\/p>\n<p>The website <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/harvard-scientists-unknown-civilization-cryptoterrestrials\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Futurism<\/a> said the paper, which noted that the civilization it theorizes to exist could live on the Moon, was \u201cbound to raise eyebrows in the scientific community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But the paper said the idea is discussion, saying unexplained events \u201ctend to fall into two classes: a conventional terrestrial explanation (e.g., human-made technology), or an extraterrestrial explanation (i.e., <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-columbus-was-a-great-man-and-deserves-to-be-celebrated\/\" title=\"Columbus: A Great Man Worthy of Celebration\">advanced civilizations<\/a> from elsewhere in the cosmos).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, there is also a third minority class of hypothesis: an unconventional terrestrial explanation, outside the prevailing consensus view of the universe,\u201d the paper said. \u201cThis is the ultraterrestrial hypothesis, which includes as a subset the \u2018cryptoterrestrial\u2019 hypothesis, namely the notion that UAP may reflect activities of intelligent beings concealed in stealth here on Earth (e.g., underground), and\/or its near environs (e.g., the moon), and\/or even \u2018walking among us\u2019 (e.g., passing as humans).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough this idea is likely to be regarded sceptically by most scientists, such are the nature of some UAP that we argue this possibility should not be summarily dismissed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The paper referenced comments from former Republican Rep. Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<p>Gallagher last year was commenting on a hypothesis that UAPs could be from a civilization that is part of the future, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/ufo-mike-gallagher-comments-video-1809664\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newsweek<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He said a different explanation could be \u201cas opposed to being us from the future, it could actually be an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/people-hit-the-hardest-are-the-poor-newt-gingrich-says-americans-will-notice-bidens-hidden-tax\/\" title=\"\u2018People Hit The Hardest Are The Poor\u2019: Newt Gingrich Says American\u2019s Will Notice Biden\u2019s \u2018Hidden Tax\u2019\">ancient civilization<\/a> that\u2019s just been hiding here and is suddenly showing itself.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>We who work here at The Western Journal have fought for years against Big Tech and the elites who want to shut us down and then shut America down. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Make no mistake \u2014 nothing will be the same after November 2024.
