Mike Johnson \u200demphasized the \u200coverwhelming evidence in Biden&#8217;s case, suggesting Trump&#8217;s charges were politically motivated. President Biden said he respects the verdict and will not pardon his son, but apparently this still has not convinced a lot of conservatives that we have an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-republican-calls-for-congress-to-cut-millions-from-federal-intel-law-enforcement-agency-budgets\/\" title=\"House Republican Calls for Congress to Cut Millions From Federal Intel, Law Enforcement Agency Budgets\">equal justice system<\/a>,\u201d Goldberg said as she opened Wednesday\u2019s show. \u201cTake a look at the snowflakes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The show then aired a video montage of Republicans\u2019 reactions to the first son\u2019s conviction and the comparisons they made to former President Donald Trump\u2019s Manhattan trial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClearly, the evidence was overwhelming here. I don\u2019t think that\u2019s the case in the Trump trials, and all of the charges that have been brought against him have been obviously brought for political purposes,\u201d Johnson said to reporters on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the American people are smart enough to know these are separate cases. There are two tiers of justice,\u201d Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) said.<\/p>\n<p>The montage showed Fox News host Laura Ingraham saying, \u201cHunter\u2019s case involved a clearly provable crime. Trump\u2019s involved a totally novel application of the state statute, a predicate crime that they never specified, a partisan prosecutor, and a compromised judge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust because one Democrat was convicted doesn\u2019t mean the American legal system isn\u2019t being abused,\u201d Fox News host Jesse Watters said on his show.<\/p>\n<p><em>The View<\/em> hosts and the audience audibly disagreed with the opinions in the montage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not even funny. It\u2019s startling,\u201d Goldberg said.<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cSo he gets convicted. That\u2019s not good enough. You b****ed and moaned. You wanted something to happen. Something has happened. He\u2019s gone through the system and that\u2019s how the system works. Do y\u2019all not live here anymore? Do you not know how this is supposed to work?
