Approximately \u206360% of Trump&#8217;s supporters, including 54% of his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/womens-rights-group-demands-fifa-kick-iran-out-of-world-cup\/\" title=\"Women\u2019s Rights Group Demands FIFA Kick Iran Out of World Cup\">female supporters<\/a>, believe that society is better off when people prioritize marriage and \u200bfamily. In contrast, only 19% of Biden&#8217;s supporters agree with this stance. Furthermore,\u200d 37% \u2063of Trump&#8217;s supporters expressed discomfort with women\u200d not taking their husbands&#8217;\u200b last names after marriage,\u2063 compared to only 13% of Biden&#8217;s supporters showing similar sentiments. The poll also touched upon views on the legality of abortion, noting that nearly half of \u200bTrump&#8217;s supporters\u2062 oppose legal abortion in all cases.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<figure>                         <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A recent Pew Research Center poll highlighted the stark difference of opinion former President Donald Trump\u2019s supporters and and those of President Joe Biden have on issues related to marriage and family.<\/p>\n<p>The poll, released June 6, asked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/politics\/2024\/06\/06\/gender-family-reproductive-issues-and-the-2024-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">questions<\/a> on topics such as whether \u201csociety is better off if people make marriage and having children a priority\u201d and the comfort level respondents had \u201cwith women not taking their husbands\u2019 last names when they get married.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nearly 60 percent of Trump supporters \u2014 and 54 percent of his female supporters \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/politics\/2024\/06\/06\/gender-family-reproductive-issues-and-the-2024-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> that society is better off when it prioritizes marriage and family, compared to only 19 percent of Biden backers who shared the same view.<\/p>\n<p>On the question of women assuming a husband\u2019s surname, the results were similar. <\/p>\n<p>Thirty-seven percent of Trump supporters of all demographics said they were uncomfortable with\u00a0women not taking their\u00a0husband\u2019s last name, while the number plummeted to 13 percent for Biden supporters.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about whether or not abortion should be legal in all cases,\u00a0nearly half of Biden supporters, 42 percent, said it should be legal in \u201cmost or all cases.\u201d Only 9 percent of Trump supporters shared the same view.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbout nine-in-ten Biden supporters (88%) say abortion should be legal\u00a0in most (46%) or all (42%) cases\u201d and \u201cabout six-in-ten Trump supporters (61%) say abortion should be illegal\u00a0in all (11%) or most (50%) cases,\u201d Pew reported. Both candidates\u2019 bases have formed their own somewhat cohesive consensus around abortion and how they feel the government should proceed with the legality surrounding unrestricted abortion access. <\/p>\n<p>The declining birth rate was another topic addressed in the poll, and the contrast between Trump and Biden voters was also glaring. Forty-seven\u00a0percent of Trump supporters are concerned with declining birth rates, while about half as many Biden supporters, 23 percent,\u00a0shared the\u00a0same concern. <\/p>\n<p>A large portion of Biden supporters, nearly 50 percent, view the declining birth rates as\u00a0neither good nor bad, and over a quarter said the declining birth rate was a good thing.<\/p>\n<p>Stephen Moore, co-founder of The Committee to Unleash Prosperity, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/stephenmoore\/status\/1800870424181375054?s=12\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote on X<\/a>, \u201c1 in 12 Biden voters with a college degree think society should <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-haitian-migrants-flood-mexican-border-entry-after-dhs-secretary-said-theyd-be-turned-away-if-they-arrive-by-boat\/\" title=\"WATCH: Haitian Migrants Flood Mexican Border Entry After DHS Secretary Said They\u2019d Be Turned Away If They Arrive By Boat\">prioritize families<\/a>.
