Upper III<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   June 12, 2024 at 9:53am <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>Govind Sandhu, head of global music partnerships for TikTok Australia, received a diagnosis of stage-four non-Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma after his knee was swollen following a half-marathon in Sydney in September.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo today was the first day that I got a preliminary diagnosis of my condition,\u201d Sandhu said in an emotional video posted to Instagram on Tuesday but made, he said, \u201cover the weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver the last six weeks, I haven\u2019t been feeling well at all,\u201d he added, saying that he finished the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/chinese-half-marathon-winner-stripped-medal-video-shows-suspicious-finish\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">half marathon<\/a> and has felt like he has been going downhill since.<\/p>\n<p>He said his knee was swollen following the half marathon, but the attributed that to an injury received during trailrunning.<\/p>\n<p>His other symptoms included \u201creally bad body aches and sweats and everything that would make you think it was the flu, or COVID,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/C8GOWXVyhVM\/?utm_source=ig_embed&#038;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>Sandhu continued to deteriorate for about a month, he said, and then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/la-dodgers-trevor-bauer-placed-on-administrative-leave-amid-sexual-assault-allegations\/\" title=\"LA Dodgers\u2019 Trevor Bauer Placed On Administrative Leave Amid Sexual Assault Allegations\">sought medical care<\/a> through a series of doctor visits.<\/p>\n<p>He expects to start chemo soon, which will be \u201caggressive because the cancer is aggressive,\u201d and said he\u2019d keep everyone \u201cupdated on his progress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAND just like that life has forever changed &#038; I\u2019m about to embark on my biggest challenge to date,\u201d he wrote on the post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWas absolutely shocked &#038; devastated in the moment. Lots of tears, lows &#038; moments of \u2018why me\u2019 as you can imagine,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He also strongly encouraged his viewers to get their own checkups and blood tests done if they are not feeling well, and offered thanks to the medical staff who had worked with him.<\/p>\n<p>Sandhu, 38, appeared fit and healthy in a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/we-want-everything-pelosis-san-francisco-home-vandalized-with-pigs-head-and-spray-paint\/\" title=\"\u201cWe Want Everything\u201d: Pelosi\u2019s San Francisco Home Vandalized With Pig\u2019s Head and Spray-Paint\">photos posted<\/a> to his Instagram account.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-13521007\/Fit-healthy-Aussie-TikTok-boss-diagnosed-stage-four-cancer-noticing-odd-symptom-following-half-marathon.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.K.\u2019s Daily Mail<\/a>, he has worked at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mother-sues-tiktok-sons-death-says-alive-today-hadnt-seen-videos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TikTok<\/a> for three years.<\/p>\n<p>Comments on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/seeing-harmful-effects-mom-offers-son-huge-reward-staying-off-social-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> were overwhelmingly supporting, according to the Daily Mail. (Sandhu appeared to have limited the visibility of the comments on his post at the time of this writing.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt messed with the wrong person,\u201d one commenter wrote. \u201cYou\u2019re gonna crush this, mate!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019ve smashed everything you\u2019ve ever put your heart and mind to, homie. This is no different,\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReality is, I have a chance to fight this f**%%* so I\u2019ll take the W there,\u201d Sandhu concluded his post. \u201cLife is beautiful, I am lucky &#038; grateful for what I have.
