While it\u2019s true lying on a background check is rarely prosecuted, it\u2019s mostly because people tend to avoid confessing in their published memoirs.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-444346636\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-4ab6e66f4165c1f61e0b72941e70165c fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-4ab6e66f4165c1f61e0b72941e70165c\"><\/div>\n<p>Indeed, Hunter is exceptionally lucky he\u2019s only facing tax and gun charges. Though, perhaps, lucky is the wrong word.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t luck, after all, that AG Merrick Garland did basically everything within his power to keep Hunter out of a courtroom. After the Trump DOJ dragged its feet, Garland made sure to try and wait out the statute of limitations on Hunter\u2019s most serious potential crimes. Many did.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t luck that Garland named Delaware\u2019s David Weiss, whose office was filled with Biden allies, as special counsel. It wasn\u2019t luck that the Secret Service <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/03\/25\/sources-secret-service-inserted-itself-into-case-of-hunter-bidens-gun-477879\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">showed up<\/a> to help Hunter with his gun problem. It wasn\u2019t luck that the feds cooked up an <em>astonishing<\/em> customized <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/collapsed-hunter-biden-plea-deal-presidents-son-immunity-host-potential-crimes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">immunity deal<\/a> for Hunter, which would not only give him a pass on any felony gun and tax charges, but also on a slew of unrelated, far more serious, potential offenses, including failure to register as a foreign agent, bribery, and corruption.<\/p>\n<p>Do you think anyone else gets this kind of consideration from the DOJ?<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ee8db272b06bd55c3d74439dc595fbf2 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ee8db272b06bd55c3d74439dc595fbf2\"><\/div>\n<p>Not to mention, the DOJ would have let Hunter walk on tax charges if an IRS whistleblower (who was leading a five-year investigation into the Biden family\u2019s dealings) hadn\u2019t <a href=\"https:\/\/waysandmeans.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Whistleblower-2-Transcript_Redacted.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">testified<\/a> under oath that he was \u201chandcuffed,\u201d \u201chamstrung,\u201d \u201cmarginalized,\u201d and ultimately stopped by the DOJ from moving forward in the manner he would for any other tax cheat.<\/p>\n<p>And if it wasn\u2019t U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika putting the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/07\/26\/the-fix-was-in-for-hunter-biden-until-a-hero-judge-stepped-up\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">kibosh<\/a> on that unprecedented immunity deal, Hunter would have gotten away with all of it.<\/p>\n<p>It hardly a \u201cconspiracy theory,\u201d as Jonathan Chait and others <a href=\"https:\/\/nymag.com\/intelligencer\/article\/hunter-biden-conviction-blows-up-gop-conspiracy-theories.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">contend<\/a>, to note that the DOJ and prosecutors can work in concert to help Joe Biden \u2014 because this is all about protecting the president \u2014 without having a big meeting to go over all the details. It happens all the time.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, rather than noting Hunter had been bequeathed this unprecedented protection, the press decided to paint a privileged middle-aged Yale-educated lawyer, international lobbyist, high-priced foreign energy consultant, and celebrated author and artist \u2014 whose works sell for upwards of a half a million dollars a pop \u2014 as a victim of circumstance, tragedy, and disease.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-f5e5a5dc6c543b72d09e28326eea3abb fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-f5e5a5dc6c543b72d09e28326eea3abb\"><\/div>\n<p>If you haven\u2019t heard, Hunter suffers from an ailment that induces its victims to abandon children, write off prostitutes and drug deals as business expenses, and trade in on the family name to complete complex multi-million-dollar international deals. (Many of Biden\u2019s alleged tax crimes occurred after he\u2019d allegedly gotten clean and remarried. So, I wonder how the media is going to transform him into a victim in the next trial.)<\/p>\n<p>Now, perhaps Biden is a changed man seeking redemption. That doesn\u2019t erase or forgive his criminality or the fact it reveals. During the trial, an FBI agent testified that investigators <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/06\/06\/us-news\/video-of-dems-legacy-media-rejecting-posts-hunter-biden-laptop-story-as-russian-disinfo-goews-viral-after-fbi-confirms-authenticity-in-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">confirmed<\/a> that the infamous laptop had belonged to Hunter Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Pretending the computer was Russian Op or that it was procured in an unprofessional manner by the New York Post was a <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/12\/10\/how-media-covered-up-the-hunter-biden-story-until-after-the-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">transparent effort<\/a> by the established media to cover for Joe Biden in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election. And if the laptop is real, as everyone now must admit, then the texts and emails in which Hunter references his dad\u2019s role in securing payments and taking a 10 percent cut are also real. Those claims have already been bolstered by witnesses.<\/p>\n<p>Circumstantial evidence and common sense already tells us that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/its-increasingly-clear-the-feds-were-protecting-joe-biden-not-hunter\/\" title=\"Feds favored Joe Biden, not Hunter.\">family business couldn\u2019<\/a>t be pulling in a dime without the participation of the president. Any responsible press would be highly curious about how the Biden family was pulling in millions from Chicoms and Ukrainians, while Joe was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c-span.org\/video\/?c4820105\/user-clip-biden-tells-story-ukraine-prosecutor-fired\">bragging<\/a> about forging policy in that nation \u2014 among dozens of other shady issues.<\/p>\n<p>They won\u2019t be.
