The individuals charged are Alfredo Castillo, Wanda Geter-Pataky, Nilsa Heredia, and Josephine Edmonds. Additionally, some are charged with Misrepresenting Eligibility Requirements for Voting by Absentee Ballot. They will all be in court June 24th. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FOX61News?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@FOX61News<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7HJF1gcCZF\">pic.twitter.com\/7HJF1gcCZF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Matt Caron (@MattCaronTV) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MattCaronTV\/status\/1800667678404973031?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 11, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>All four were charged with Unlawful Possession of Absentee Ballots and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-fbi-was-after-documents-trump-believed-would-exonerate-him-from-russia-conspiracy\/\" title=\"REPORT: FBI Was After Documents Trump Believed Would \u2018Exonerate\u2019 Him From Russia Conspiracy\">election-related charges<\/a>, prosecutors <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.ct.gov\/dcj\/press-room\/press-releases\/06112024bridgeport#:~:text=Inspectors%20from%20the%20Statewide%20Prosecution,Ballots%2C%20in%20violation%20of%20Connecticut\">said<\/a> in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The statement continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Specifically, Edmonds, Geter-Pataky, and Heredia were charged with Tampering With a Witness, in violation of Connecticut General Statues \u00a7 53a-151; Geter-Pataky, Castillo and Heredia were charged with Misrepresenting Eligibility Requirements for Voting by Absentee Ballot in violation of Connecticut General Statues \u00a7 9-135(b); Castillo, Edmonds and Heredia were charged with Failure to Maintain an Absentee Ballot Distribution List, in violation of Connecticut General Statues \u00a7 9-140(k)(2); Edmonds and Heredia were charged with being present When an Absentee Ballot Applicant Executes an Absentee Ballot, in violation of Connecticut General Statues \u00a7 9-140(b)e; and Geter-Pataky and Castillo were charged with Failure to Sign as Assister on an Absentee Ballot, in violation of Connecticut General Statues \u00a7 9-140(a).<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The State Elections Enforcement Commission (SEEC) opened up a civil investigation into allegations of ballots that were mishandled which later turned into a criminal investigation after evidence was uncovered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIntegrity of our voting process is vital to our democracy,\u201d Chief State\u2019s Attorney Griffin said. \u201cI appreciate the attention and time the Statewide Prosecution Bureau put into these investigations.
