Bill Johnson\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-to-show-lockdowns-are-killing-more-people-than-the-virus\/\" title=\"How To Show Lockdowns Are Killing More People Than The Virus\">term<\/a> for this Congress, increasing Speaker <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/mike-johnson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Mike Johnson<\/a>\u2018s (R-LA) slim majority in the <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/house-of-representatives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>House<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Associated Press<\/em> called the race at 9:02 p.m., over an hour after polls closed. Rulli won the special election with 52.3% of the vote counted at the time the race was called.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/live-blog\/primary-2024-elections-live-updates-south-carolina-nevada-vote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LIVE UPDATES | FOLLOW THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER\u2019S TUESDAY NIGHT PRIMARY COVERAGE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rulli will replace Johnson, whose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-continuous-media-covid-fear-mongering-may-backfire-and-diminish-democrat-voter-turnout\/\" title=\"The Continuous Media COVID Fear Mongering May BACKFIRE and Diminish Democrat Voter Turnout\">seat<\/a> in the House has been vacant for months. Johnson became the 32nd House member not to seek reelection in 2024 in November last year.
