They are shrouded in secrecy. I don\u2019t know how, other than going undercover, I would have been able to get answers to these questions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of course, for leftists, \u201caccountability\u201d has mostly meant \u201cmaking decisions I like.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, Alito and his fellow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/leftist-group-offers-bounties-conservative-supreme-court-justices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conservative justices<\/a> refusal to bend to the will of the leftists obviously necessitated this coordinated campaign against them.<\/p>\n<p>The thing was, though, in trying to pressure Alito to recuse himself from the Jan. 6 cases, including Donald Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jack-smith-claims-granting-trump-immunity-pave-way-presidential-murder-orders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">presidential immunity<\/a> case, the leftists have actually been the ones violating judicial principles.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, leftists\u2019 pressure on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/scotus-justice-samuel-alito-fires-back-dems-refuses-step-aside-trump-jan-6-cases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alito<\/a> violates the principle of judicial independence.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Do you respect Justice Alito and his career in the Supreme Court?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americanbar.org\/groups\/public_education\/resources\/rule-of-law\/rule-of-law-and-the-courts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">American Bar Association<\/a>, judicial independence ensures that \u201cjudges are not subject to pressure and influence and are free to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-fraud-trial-judge-arthur-engoron-donated-to-democrats-for-decades\/\" title=\"Judge Arthur Engoron, presiding over Trump's fraud trial, has a long history of donating to Democrats.\">make impartial decisions based solely<\/a> on fact and law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If judges are unable to be impartial on a case and then rule on that case anyway, you get results like Trump\u2019s guilty verdict in his prejudiced New York criminal case.<\/p>\n<p>Alito himself released a statement, also dutifully chronicled in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/05\/29\/us\/alito-supreme-court-recusal-flag.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Times<\/a>, wherein he explained this principle and how his wife hanging an upside-down flag or historical flag \u2014 like the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/justice-alito-appeal-heaven-flag-truth-left-doesnt-want-know\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Appeal to Heaven<\/a>\u201d one \u2014 did not disqualify him from sitting on these cases.<\/p>\n<p>In his own words, seeing as neither flag is inextricably linked to \u201cinsurrectionists\u201d and his wife is a private citizen who can make her own decisions, \u201cA reasonable person who is not motivated by political or ideological considerations or a desire to affect the outcome of Supreme Court cases would conclude this event does not meet the applicable standard for recusal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clearly, then, an observer not blinded by left-wing prejudice would know instantly that Alito and his wife have done nothing meriting this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-john-bolton-unload-cnns-wolf-blitzer-alitos-display-revolutionary-war-flags\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">smear campaign<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Why, then, has the left, especially <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/twitter-strips-new-york-times-verification-elon-musk-makes-even-worse-fake-news-company\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a>, doubled down on this story despite its overall flimsiness?<\/p>\n<p>Well, as <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/06\/nyts-jodi-kantor-has-a-history-of-peddling-deranged-anti-alito-hoaxes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Federalist<\/a> noted, the reporter who originally broke the story, Jodi Kantor, has a history of spreading bogus and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/stacey-abrams-voting-rights-pac-helped-group-that-pushed-voter-fraud-conspiracy-theories\/\" title=\"Stacey Abrams\u2019 Voting Rights PAC Helped Group That Pushed Voter Fraud Conspiracy Theories\">unsubstantiated conspiracy theories<\/a> against Alito, going back to 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The Federalist pointed out that the main reason for leftists ire against the court, especially filled as it is with justices like Alito, Clarence Thomas, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pro-abortion-protesters-target-amy-coney-barretts-house-apparent-violation-18-u-s-code-1507\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amy Coney Barrett<\/a>, is that it has been the one remaining institution they cannot control.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, the writers in the newsroom of The New York Times have no real, damning accusations they can lob against the conspiracy theories and making crumbs into cupcakes in a desperate attempt to finally get the rulings they want.<\/p>\n<p>Hence, the eight articles <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/by\/jodi-kantor?page=2#latest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kantor<\/a> and the Times have lent their names to over the past month devoted to this nothing-burger of a controversy.<\/p>\n<p>The left always seeks to destroy what they cannot control.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for them, Alito has not backed down and will not be intimidated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/justice-alito-appeal-heaven-flag-truth-left-doesnt-want-know\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">baseless controversies<\/a> or illegal recordings.<\/p>\n<p>If the left truly wanted impartiality, they would cease these transparent attacks and finally leave Alito and his wife alone.<\/p>\n<p>As this X user noted, the left hates Alito and Clarence because they refuse to get \u201cbrainwashed\u201d into the \u201ccult.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The left is collectively losing their s**t over Clarence
