Am I going to get fired because they think I\u2019m not capable of completing the job?\u2019\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The actress mentioned how the brain aneurysm occurred during a break in filming and said only certain crew and cast members were aware of what was going on. Clarke recalled thinking about how the stress of returning to the set could trigger another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-please-pardon-jon-woods-a-victim-of-process-crimes-like-michael-flynn\/\" title=\"President Trump, Please Pardon Jon Woods, a Victim of Process Crimes Like Michael Flynn\">medical issue<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She said her thought was, \u201cWell, if I\u2019m going to die, I better die on live TV.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The \u201cGame of Thrones\u201d actress founded a charity to develop better mental health support for people who had been through similar experiences. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cHaving a chronic condition that diminishes your confidence in this one thing you feel is your reason to live is so debilitating and so lonely,\u201d Clarke said. \u201cOne of the biggest things I felt with a brain injury was profoundly alone. She said she instructed medical staff to let her die because she believed her acting days were over. Now, she sees enduring the event as a positive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIt has given me a superpower,\u201d Clarke said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The actress had her first aneurysm, which caused a stroke and a subarachnoid hemorrhage, in 2011. She discussed the experience in a personal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/culture\/personal-history\/emilia-clarke-a-battle-for-my-life-brain-aneurysm-surgery-game-of-thrones\">essay<\/a> published in The New Yorker in 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI was suffering from a condition called aphasia, a consequence of the trauma my brain had suffered,\u201d she said at the time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIn my worst moments, I wanted to pull the plug,\u201d Clarke added. \u201cI asked the medical staff to let me die. My job \u2014 my entire dream of what my life would be \u2014 centered on language, on communication. Without that, I was lost.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The aphasia was temporary, and eventually, the actress was able to speak again.
