The letter was released following a lawsuit settlement between the Petito\u200b and Laundrie families, where the Petitos sought damages\u2064 for pain and suffering, although the final settlement amount was undisclosed. Laundrie, who confessed \u2064to killing\u2062 Petito in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-latest-on-brian-laundrie-notebook-found-near-body\/\" title=\"The Latest On Brian Laundrie Notebook Found Near Body\">notebook found<\/a> posthumously, is believed to have committed suicide in \u200bFlorida\u2019s Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park \u200din\u2063 October \u20632021.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie were having problems even before the fateful cross-country road trip that ended with him allegedly killing her before eventually taking his own life.<\/p>\n<p>Fox News and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/gabby-petito-urged-brian-laundrie-stop-crying-love-letter-her-killer-released-fbi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">obtained<\/a> a 366-page document released by the FBI that included a copy of an undated letter Petito wrote to Laundrie before their trip.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrian, you know how much I love you, so (and I\u2019m writing this with love) Just please stop crying and stop calling me names, because we\u2019re a team,\u201d Petito wrote in the letter, which included a reference to the couple coming back from New York. \u201cAnd I\u2019m here with you. I\u2019m always going to have your back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Petito also apologized in the two-page, handwritten note for getting upset over \u201ca dumb piece of paper,\u201d while she tried to comfort Laundrie.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love you so much it hurts,\u201d Petito wrote. \u201cSo you in pain is killing me. I\u2019m not trying to be negative, but I\u2019m frustrated there\u2019s not more I can do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Petito repeatedly wrote of her love for Laundrie while also apologizing for alleged transgressions she doesn\u2019t name and pleading with him to forgive her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope you understand when I\u2019m upset it\u2019s cause you make me love you too much,\u201d she wrote. \u201cNow\u2026stop crying! And come home and say you love me with a big hug.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The FBI released the documents more than three months after the Petito and Laundrie families <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/gabby-petitos-father-speaks-out-after-lawsuit-settled-with-brian-laundries-family\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">settled a lawsuit<\/a> filed by the Petitos for an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ten-gop-senators-counter-bidens-1-9-trillion-relief-plan-request-meeting\/\" title=\"Ten GOP Senators Counter Biden\u2019s .9 Trillion Relief Plan, Request Meeting\">unspecified amount<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Petito\u2019s parents were seeking $100,000 for pain and suffering due to the alleged actions of the Laundries. It is unclear how much, if any, money they will receive in the settlement.<\/p>\n<p>Laundrie is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/newly-revealed-texts-show-brian-laundrie-casually-discussing-trip-after-killing-gabby-petito-once-in-a-lifetime\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">believed<\/a> to have committed suicide after he went missing following the murder of his fianc\u00e9e, whom Laundrie admitted to killing, according to the FBI. His remains were found in Florida\u2019s Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in October 2021, and his family\u2019s attorney released the notebook found with his body in June 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI ended her life,\u201d Laundrie wrote, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Gabby-note-better.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a copy<\/a> of the notebook <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/gabby-petito-murder-brian-laundries-notebook-confession-revealed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">exclusively<\/a> provided to Fox News. \u201cI thought it was merciful, that it is what she wanted, but I see now all the mistakes I made. I panicked. I was in shock.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Laundrie went on to claim that Petito, who was 22 when Laundrie strangled her to death, had injured herself in a fall while they were visiting Wyoming and that he killed her to take \u201caway her pain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRushing back to our car trying to cross the streams of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gabby-petito-family-says-note-found-on-brian-laundries-car-after-disappearance\/\" title=\"Gabby Petito: Family Says Note Found On Brian Laundrie\u2019s Car After \u2018Disappearance\u2019\">spread creek<\/a> before it got too dark to see, to [sic] cold. I hear a splash and a scream,\u201d Laundrie wrote, adding that he carried her as far as he could but had to stop to make a fire to keep them warm when he couldn\u2019t make it back to the couple\u2019s van.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1716990157394000&#038;usg=AOvVaw33qQydjIo8bet419amChif\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>He claimed Petito \u201chad a small bump on her forehead that eventually got larger\u201d and that she \u201ccontinually made sounds of pain, laying next to her she said little lapsing between violent shakes, gasping in pain, begging for an end to her pain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Laundrie also referred to Petito\u2019s death as his \u201cmistake\u201d and insisted that he was not ending his life \u201cbecause of a fear of punishment but rather because I cant [sic] stand to live another day without her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Petito and Laundrie were driving across the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/i-ended-her-life-heres-what-brian-laundrie-wrote-in-his-notebook-before-he-killed-himself\/\" title=\"\u2018I Ended Her Life\u2019: Here\u2019s What Brian Laundrie Wrote In His Notebook Before He Killed Himself\">country visiting national parks<\/a> when Petito went missing. She was last seen alive in late August before her family reported her missing in early September after Laundrie returned to his parents\u2019 home in Florida without her. Laundrie\u2019s family then reported him missing on September 17.<\/p>\n<p>Petito\u2019s body was found in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming on September 19, 2021.
