They specifically criticize the endorsement and use\u2062 of genital mutilation\u2064 surgeries, social affirmation, puberty blockers, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/very-complicated-dr-rachel-levine-dodges-sen-pauls-issue-about-sex-adjustments-for-children\/\" title=\"\u2018Very Complicated\u2019: Dr. Rachel Levine Dodges Sen. Paul\u2019s Issue About Sex Adjustments For Children\">cross-sex hormones<\/a> for children \u200band adolescents who are \u2062distressed by their biological sex. They argue \u200bthat these \u2064procedures and \u2062treatments not only fail \u200cto\u2063 help\u200c but are actually harmful, \u2063and accuse current protocols of \u200dcontradicting traditional medical ethics, which emphasize patient well-being and \u2062non-malfeasance. Dr. Erica \u200cLeBaron and Nicole Hayes also stress the need\u200d for medical practices to\u200c honor biological \u200crealities \u2062and the inherent\u200d dignity of each individual. This initiative\u2064 coincides with contemporary \u2062public opinion, \u200cas demonstrated by a recent \u200bpoll indicating \u2062significant opposition among Americans\u200b to hormonal treatments for young \u200badolescents.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) teamed up with the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine (AHM), the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), and several other groups of medical professionals to condemn genital mutilation surgeries for minors.<\/p>\n<p>The cohort authored and signed a <a href=\"https:\/\/doctorsprotectingchildren.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">declaration<\/a> urging medical professionals to stop asserting that children benefit from the barbarous procedures. The groups\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/doctorsprotectingchildren.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">statement<\/a> calls for an \u201cimmediate[] stop\u00a0the promotion of social affirmation, puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgeries for children and adolescents who experience distress over their biological sex.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The groups have coalesced under the organization Doctors Protecting Children (DPC), which is <a href=\"https:\/\/doctorsprotectingchildren.org\/\">dedicated<\/a> to making people aware of the \u201cserious concerns about the physical and mental health effects of the current protocols promoted for the care of children and adolescents in the United States who express discomfort with their biological sex.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite all the above evidence that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/florida-senate-passes-bill-banning-minors-from-having-gender-reassignment-surgery-desantis-florida-house-likely-to-make-it-law\/\" title=\"Florida Senate Passes Bill Banning Minors From Having \u2018Gender Reassignment\u2019 Surgery. DeSantis, Florida House Likely To Make It Law.\">gender affirming treatments<\/a> are not only unhelpful, but are harmful, and despite the knowledge that the adolescent brain is immature, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fact-check-did-the-cdc-warn-of-a-polio-like-disease-outbreak-in-children-in-the-next-four-months\/\" title=\"FACT CHECK: Did The CDC Warn Of A Polio-Like Disease Outbreak In Children In The Next Four Months?\">professional medical organizations<\/a> in the United States continue to promote these interventions,\u201d DPC\u2019s statement <a href=\"https:\/\/doctorsprotectingchildren.org\">reads<\/a>. \u201cFurther, they state that legislation to protect children from harmful interventions is dangerous since it interferes with necessary medical care for children and adolescents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, the protocols currently being pushed on children and adolescents violate the fundamental precepts of Hippocratic medicine which are to \u2018prescribe regimen for the good of patients\u2019 and \u2018do no harm,&#8217;\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/aapsonline.org\/aaps-signs-doctors-protecting-children-declaration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> Dr. Erica LeBaron, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/national-pro-life-group-launches-10m-ad-campaign-ahead-of-supreme-court-abortion-case\/\" title=\"National Pro-Life Group Launches M Ad Campaign Ahead of Supreme Court Abortion Case\">family medicine physician<\/a> and president-elect of AAPS.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is past time for our profession to end the harm being done and instead provide care to children that is both rooted in science and principles of medical ethics that put patients, not political ideology, first,\u201d LeBaron added. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMedical decision making should respect biological reality and the dignity of the person,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ACPeds\/status\/1799160649299468318\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> Nicole Hayes from the Christian Medical &#038; Dental Associations. \u201cAnything less is disastrous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The DPC\u2019s declaration comes at a pivotal time as polling shows that a majority of Americans oppose the medical industry\u2019s ferocious attempts to reject biology and convince children to cut off their body parts.<\/p>\n<p>A poll published in 2023 by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/education\/2023\/05\/05\/trans-poll-gop-politics-laws\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Washington Post<\/a> found that 68 percent of Americans oppose access to hormonal medicine for children ages 10 to 14. More than 20 states have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aamc.org\/news\/states-are-banning-gender-affirming-care-minors-what-does-mean-patients-and-providers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">banned<\/a> so<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-doj-warns-states-ags-feds-back-gender-affirming-care-rights-for-transgender-children\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s DOJ Warns States\u2019 AGs: Feds Back \u2019Gender-Affirming Care\u2019 Rights for \u2018Transgender\u2019 Children\u00a0\">-called \u201cgender-affirming care<\/a>,\u201d suggesting there is a growing distaste for the transgender agenda throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p>Although the average American has a distaste for the fanatical gender-bending ideas the left promotes, the country\u2019s most radical activists continue to push for <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/22\/this-trans-athlete-has-beaten-girls-700-times-thanks-to-democrat-policies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">transgender athletes in female sports<\/a>, produce <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/02\/28\/big-businesses-like-kitchenaid-display-hatred-for-women-by-hiring-men-in-costumes-for-ads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ad campaigns<\/a> revolving around gender activists, and write <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2015\/09\/22\/transgender-characters-may-win-emmys-but-transgender-people-hurt-themselves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">television shows<\/a> that depict out-of-touch storylines promoting the rejection of biological men and women.<\/p>\n<p>The left\u2019s gender ideology also continues to infiltrate major institutions, and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/04\/05\/transgender-inc-a-running-list-of-corporate-gender-insanity-insulting-women-kids-and-reality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dozens of influential entities<\/a> promote it, primarily toward children.<\/p>\n<p>Disney, for example, is <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/11\/30\/disneys-latest-box-office-fail-is-yet-another-sign-of-the-mouses-self-inflicted-demise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">well known<\/a> for including pro-transgender storylines in its recent movies and television shows.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Kamden Mulder is a summer intern at The Federalist.
