She wanted him impeached and criminally indicted.<\/p>\n<p>Hence, it was mum\u2019s the word.<\/p>\n<p>Now, thanks to the work of the House Oversight Committee, video shot on Jan. 6, 2021, as Pelosi was being evacuating by SUV from the Capitol has been made public. And in it, she takes some blame for what happened.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/06\/09\/chaos-anger-congressional-leaders-jan-6-evacuation-00162424\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a> reported the footage of Pelosi interacting with her chief of staff, Terri McCullough, was taken by the then-speaker\u2019s daughter Alexandra Pelosi for a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/newly-released-jan-6-footage-exposes-pelosi-leaving-capitol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> documentary<\/a> she was making for HBO called, \u201cPelosi in the House.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\ud83d\udea8 Since January 6, 2021, Nancy Pelosi spent 3+ years and nearly $20 million creating a narrative to blame Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>NEW FOOTAGE shows on January 6, Pelosi ADMITTED:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI take responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>WATCH: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/95a0totTWB\">pic.twitter.com\/95a0totTWB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Oversight Subcommittee (@OversightAdmn) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OversightAdmn\/status\/1800207258514575730?\">June 10, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/somethings-brewing-dan-scavino-posts-series-of-tweets-after-raucous-oval-office-meeting-trump-is-ready-to-take-action\/\" title=\"SOMETHING\u2019S BREWING! Dan Scavino Posts Series of Tweets After Raucous Oval Office Meeting \u2013 Trump Is Ready to Take Action\">video released<\/a> by the Oversight Committee was not included in the film, but HBO had turned over unaired footage in response to a request from lawmakers.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Should Nancy Pelosi resign?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In it, Pelosi told McCullough: \u201cWe have responsibility, Terri. We did not have any accountability for what was going on there, and we should have. This is ridiculous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re going to ask me \u2013 in the middle of the thing when they\u2019ve already breached the inaugural stuff \u2013 \u2018should we call the Capitol Police, I mean the National Guard?\u2019 Why weren\u2019t the National Guard there to begin with?\u201d Pelosi asked.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, that was a question many of us had.<\/p>\n<p>McCullough, replied, \u201cThey thought that they had sufficient \u2026 resources,\u201d apparently referring to the Capitol Police and perhaps the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, that\u2019s not a question of how they had \u2026 they don\u2019t know. They clearly didn\u2019t know. And I take responsibility for not having them just prepare for more,\u201d Pelosi responded.<\/p>\n<p>Now that\u2019s an honest assessment of her part in what happened on Jan. 6.<\/p>\n<p>But Pelosi was back to her old ways Monday in an interview with MSNBC, accusing Republicans of trying to do \u201crevisionist history\u201d and arguing that Trump did not send the National Guard \u201cfor hours.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat does he do, but try to deny that any of it happened?\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">JUST IN\u2014Nancy Pelosi responds on MSNBC to the bombshell behind the scenes footage of her admitting responsibility for the lack of National Guard Troops on J6:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re trying to do revisionist history on January 6. Jim Jordan of Ohio and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/house-republicans-release-bombshell-report-pelosi-jan-6-security-must-pay-price\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jim Banks<\/a> of Indiana were asking as Pelosi was forming her Jan. 6 committee in the summer of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The GOP lawmakers wanted to know why the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/report-republicans-plan-release-jan-6-review-addressing-security-failures-capitol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Guard <\/a>had not been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/thanksgiving-in-the-dark-utilities-cut-power-as-warm-temps-and-high-winds-increase-fire-risk\/\" title=\"Thanksgiving In The Dark: Utilities Cut Power As Warm Temps And High Winds Increase Fire Risk\">deployed ahead<\/a> of the event to help keep the peace. The day promised to be volatile, with the possibility of not only pro-Trump protesters but police potential clashes with leftist<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/devastating-video-antifa-operative-confesses-jan-6-operation-denies-later-videos-vanish\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> antifa<\/a> groups and others looking to stir up trouble.<\/p>\n<p>Pelosi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rep-banks-pelosi-blocking-certain-lawmakers-january-6-committee-avoid-damning-questions-role-incursion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blocked<\/a> both Jordan and Banks from serving on the Jan. 6 committee in favor of anti-Trump then-GOP Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/tucker-carlson-gives-rino-adam-kinzinger-epic-sendoff-needs-seen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adam Kinzinger<\/a> of Illinois.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2022, Jordan, Banks and other House Republican members released a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/house-republicans-release-bombshell-report-pelosi-jan-6-security-must-pay-price\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> detailing the security failure on Jan. 6, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>It concluded the reason the National Guard was not deployed ahead of the Electoral College vote was a concern over \u201coptics\u201d \u2014 the image of military forces overseeing the election of an American president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLeadership and law enforcement failures within the U.S. Capitol left the complex vulnerable on January 6, 2021. The Democrat-led investigation in the House of Representatives, however, has disregarded those institutional failings that exposed the Capitol to violence that day,\u201d the report stated.<\/p>\n<p>Based on an official <a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/sites\/default\/files\/2022-06\/USCPJan.6Timeline.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">timeline<\/a> compiled by the Capitol Police, a Pentagon official reached out to the Capitol Police on Jan. 2, 2021, asking whether the department wanted National Guard troops deployed on Jan. 6.<\/p>\n<p>The Capitol Police responded the next day saying no request would be forthcoming.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2023, former Capitol Police Steven Sund <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.house.gov\/meetings\/HA\/HA06\/20230919\/116368\/HHRG-118-HA06-Wstate-SundS-20230919.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">testified<\/a> to the Committee on House Administration, \u201cOn Jan. 3, I requested the assistance of the National Guard to support our perimeter and was denied by the two Sergeants at Arms over the concern for politics and optics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>(The \u201ctwo Sergeants at Arms\u201d are presumably the sergeants at arms of the House and the Senate.)<\/p>\n<p>Sund believes the reason he was never asked to publicly testify before the Jan. 6 committee is that the lawmakers did not want Pelosi\u2019s decision-making scrutinized.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAsk yourself why the Jan. 6 committee never requested that I come and publicly testify. Think about that \u2014 I\u2019m the chief of the Capitol Police,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nancy-pelosi-claimed-begged-national-guard-help-jan-6-real-story\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c-span.org\/video\/?c5026862\/president-trump-national-guard-offer-speaker-pelosi-january-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">speech<\/a> at the Conservative Political Action Conference in August 2022, Trump stated that he had offered Pelosi and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser between 10,000 and 20,000 troops ahead of Jan. 6 \u201cbecause I thought the crowd was going to be very, very large.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd they turned it down,\u201d Trump continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHad they not turned it down, you wouldn\u2019t have had Jan. 6 as we know it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Pelosi has already established a record of criticizing the use of federal force to maintain order.<\/p>\n<p>In June 2020, Pelosi sent a letter to Trump stating her concern about the \u201cmilitarization\u201d of the capital after National Guard troops and other federal agents cleared out protesters from Lafayette Park, across the street from the White House.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">As Americans across the country peacefully protest to demand an end to racial injustice and police brutality, we have seen a shocking deployment of various security officers from multiple jurisdictions to our nation\u2019s capital. Today, I wrote to the President seeking answers. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/tANprwPH2S\">pic.twitter.com\/tANprwPH2S<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Nancy Pelosi (@SpeakerPelosi) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SpeakerPelosi\/status\/1268609100058750976?\">June 4, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The following month, Pelosi criticized Trump for deploying \u201cstorm troopers\u201d to deal with rioters trying to burn down the federal courthouse in Oregon.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Unidentified stormtroopers. Unmarked cars. Kidnapping protesters and causing severe injuries in response to graffiti.<\/p>\n<p>These are not the actions of a democratic republic.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DHSgov?\">@DHSgov<\/a>\u2019s actions in Portland undermine its mission.<\/p>\n<p>Trump &#038; his stormtroopers must be stopped.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Nancy Pelosi (@SpeakerPelosi) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SpeakerPelosi\/status\/1284294427654197248?\">July 18, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Pelosi was right when she said on Jan 6 that she deserved some of the blame for what happened that day.<\/p>\n<p>Now, she just needs to admit it in public.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>I heard a chilling comment the other day: \u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>That wasn\u2019t said by a conspiracy theorist or a doomsday prophet.
