The incident, described as a random act of\u200d violence by North Olmsted police, occurred\u2064 after Ellis allegedly stole two \u200cknives from a nearby\u2062 thrift store.\u2062 During her court appearance, Ellis displayed unsettling behavior, including smiling and giggling as charges were read against her, and \u2063expressing disinterest in reviewing her indictment. Judge Nancy Margaret Russo set Ellis&#8217;s bond \u200cat $5 million. She faces multiple charges including\u2063 aggravated \u200dmurder, attempted murder, felonious assault, endangering \u2064children, tampering with evidence, and misdemeanor\u200d theft. During a video hearing, that preceded Ellis\u2019s appearance in court, Russo had to instruct Ellis to raise her head, and when asked if she had read her indictment replied, \u201cI don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ellis was later brought into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/tide-turns-state-supreme-court-backs-gop-governor-removal-soros-backed-prosecutor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">court<\/a>, where she said she had not read her indictment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to read it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t want to read it?\u201d the judge replied. There\u2019s nothing that could ever replace my son or anything that my wife and I, even our other kids, are going through,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s horrendous. I really wish no bail. Period. Or extend it to the max limit possible that you can, at the very least. Just do whatever you can to keep this monster behind bars,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Russo later set bond at $5 million. Ellis was indicted on one count of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/search-underway-for-suspect-in-deadly-ohio-restaurant-shooting\/\" title=\"Search underway for suspect in deadly Ohio restaurant shooting\">aggravated murder<\/a>, two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, one count of endangering children, one count of tampering with evidence, and one count of misdemeanor theft.<\/p>\n<p>The stabbing took place in the parking lot of a Giant Eagle store in North Olmsted, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cleveland19.com\/2024\/06\/10\/court-hearing-woman-accused-stabbing-3-year-old-boy-death-north-olmsted-giant-eagle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WOIO<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>North Olmsted police said Ellis is accused of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/punks-try-stealing-tennessee-perfume-store-plan-falls-apart-fed-shoppers-hold-line\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stealing<\/a> two knives from the Volunteers of America Thrift Store, next to the Giant Eagle. The victims were walking out of Giant Eagle when first Julian and then Margot were stabbed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe investigation into the motive of this attack is still ongoing, but everything learned thus far points that this was a random act of violence,\u201d Sgt. Matt Beck said in a statement, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/video-shows-suspect-following-mom-boy-grocery-store-before-fatal-attack-1910228\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newsweek<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEllis and the victims had no prior interactions before this incident.
