According to <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/polls\/approval\/joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FiveThirtyEight\u2019s<\/a> average of national polls, Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/confirmed-president-trump-will-not-welcome-china-joe-to-the-white-house-on-wednesday\/\" title=\"Confirmed: President Trump Will NOT Welcome China Joe to the White House on Wednesday\">approval rating stands<\/a> at a mere 37.6 percent.<\/p>\n<p>This prompted Silver\u2019s foreboding question.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">But Biden just hit a new all-time low in approval (37.4%) at 538 yesterday. Dropping out would be a big risk. But there\u2019s some threshold below which continuing to run is a bigger risk. Are we there yet? I don\u2019t know. But it\u2019s more than fair to ask.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Silver also pointed out that if projections hold, former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/europes-establishment-leftists-suffer-crushing-defeat-hands-right-incredible-news-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">President Donald Trump<\/a>, the presumptive Republican nominee, will top the incumbent Democrat by seven points.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Will Biden be the Democratic nominee in November?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sub-zero-interest-gavin-newsom-says-he-doesnt-want-to-run-for-president-backs-kamala-harris-instead\/\" title=\"\u2018Sub-Zero Interest\u2019: Gavin Newsom Says He Doesn\u2019t Want To Run For President, Backs Kamala Harris Instead\">current approval rating stands<\/a> at 41.6 percent according to <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/polls\/favorability\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FiveThirtyEight<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to a May 30 report from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2024\/05\/30\/nx-s1-4984972\/poll-biden-younger-voters-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NPR<\/a>, one of the biggest advantages <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-harriss-sickening-take-israeli-hostage-rescue-makes-biden-administrations-twisted-priorities-clear\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden<\/a> had in the 2020 election \u2014 young voters \u2014 appears to be slipping away.<\/p>\n<p>According to 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/election\/2020\/exit-polls\/president\/national-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">exit polls<\/a> cited by the outlet, Biden won voters age 18-29 by over 20 points and voters under 45 by 14 points.<\/p>\n<p>Both once-wide leads have been nearly decimated as of May.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s 14-point lead with voters under 45 years old has been cut to just four points.<\/p>\n<p>With Gen-Z and Millennials, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bad-news-hits-bidens-gaza-pier-two-days-becomes-operational\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden<\/a> only leads by six points.<\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s all before you introduce the independent and third-party candidates.<\/p>\n<p>With independent candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West and Green Party candidate Jill Stein in the mix, Trump actually leads the Gen-Z\/Millennial vote by six points and those under 45 by eight points.<\/p>\n<p>Since this polling took place, the Libertarian party <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Libertarian_Party_presidential_nomination,_2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nominated<\/a> its own candidate, Chase Oliver.<\/p>\n<p>Oliver, a pro-LGBT candidate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/chase-oliver-drag-queens-republican-backlash-1905039#:~:text=%22Libertarian%20nominee%20Chase%20Oliver%3A%2099,'%22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">who went viral<\/a> for previously defending drag queen story hour shortly after his nomination, plans to target \u201cyoung voters angry about the Israel-Hamas war on college campuses, Twitch and TikTok,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/05\/26\/libertarians-reject-trump-rfk-chase-oliver-presidential-nominee-00160040\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Should these strategies result in more young votes being pulled away from Democrats than Republicans, Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/goodness-gracious-cnn-data-analyst-stunned-hispanic-voter-shift-appears-helping-trump-2-key-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lead<\/a> among young voters could grow even wider come election day.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>I heard a chilling comment the other day: \u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>That wasn\u2019t said by a conspiracy theorist or a doomsday prophet.
