Comte de Rochambeau, both of whom fought alongside George Washington in the decisive Battle of Yorktown in 1781 that in effect ended the war, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/dc-md-va\/2024\/06\/09\/gaza-protest-white-house-vandalism-graffiti\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Washington Post<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters also desecrated the statue of former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/about-the-white-house\/presidents\/andrew-jackson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">President Andrew Jackson<\/a>, who led the Americans to victory over the British in the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnti-American, pro-Hamas thugs desecrated the statues of our veterans literally across the street from the White House, a blatant violation of federal law. On video,\u201d Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas said Sunday in a post on X.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI expect the Department of Justice to use every technique against them that it used against grandmas in MAGA hats on January 6. Stand with Hamas.\u2019 Other chants included, \u2018Kill another Zionist now\u2019 and \u2018Death to Israel,&#8217;\u201d the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Should those who vandalize statues face criminal charges?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It further noted that protesters wore masks and keffiyehs (headdresses) to cover their faces, which D.C. law prohibits.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/code.dccouncil.gov\/us\/dc\/council\/code\/sections\/22-3312.03(Perm)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">code<\/a> for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/assistant-principal-fired-after-reading-i-need-a-new-butt-to-second-graders\/\" title=\"Assistant Principal Fired After Reading \u2018I Need A New Butt!\u2019 To Second Graders\">district states<\/a> that it\u2019s unlawful to enter public property or \u201chold any manner of meeting or demonstration\u201d while \u201cwearing any mask, hood, or device whereby any portion of the face is hidden, concealed, or covered as to conceal the identity of the wearer.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Look at how these Hamas supporters treat a Park Ranger just for doing his job to protect a statue in a Washington DC park. Petlin (@Joelmpetlin) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Joelmpetlin\/status\/1799814331284283896?\">June 9, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2024\/jun\/9\/tom-cotton-arkansas-republican-calls-on-biden-to-c\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Washington Times<\/a> reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tennessee-gop-expels-democrat-following-state-capitol-storming\/\" title=\"Tennessee GOP Expels Democrat Following State Capitol Storming\">protesters chanted slogans<\/a> such as \u201cIntifada revolution\u201d and \u201cWe don\u2019t want no two-state\/We want \u201948,\u201d referring to the year of <a href=\"https:\/\/history.state.gov\/milestones\/1945-1952\/creation-israel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Israel\u2019s formation<\/a> consistent with a U.N. resolution partitioning the land between Jewish and Arab inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Park Service Fraternal Order of Police posted on X on Sunday, \u201cA severe shortage of U.S. Park Police Officers prevented safe and effective police operations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blaze Media correspondent Julio Rosas further pointed out, \u201cUS Park Police FOP say only 71 officers were assigned to police a protest that had around 9,000 people. They also say Park Police Command staff did not allow officers to wear riot gear.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">For people asking where the police were yesterday, the US Park Police FOP say only 71 officers were assigned to police a protest that had around 9,000 people.<\/p>\n<p>They also say Park Police Command staff did not allow officers to wear riot gear. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/bU2JB38Llq\">https:\/\/t.co\/bU2JB38Llq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Julio Rosas (@Julio_Rosas11) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Julio_Rosas11\/status\/1799885221820874982?\">June 9, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The rangers tried to protect the statues but simply did not have the personnel to do it.<\/p>\n<p>White House spokesman Andrew Bates did not even address the vandalism in a statement to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/white-house\/thousands-gather-white-house-protest-war-gaza-rcna156186\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Biden has always been clear that every American has the right to peacefully express their views,\u201d he said. \u201cBut he has also always been clear that Antisemitism, violent rhetoric, and endorsing murderous terrorist organizations like Hamas is repugnant, dangerous, and against everything we stand for as a country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/anti-israel-agitator-hamas-headband-holds-bloodied-biden-face-mask-white-house\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> reported that the administration was aware of the protest in Lafayette Park well ahead of time and had, in fact, placed \u201cseveral additional barriers\u201d around the White House.<\/p>\n<p>Contrast Biden\u2019s lack of concern for protecting statues and other public property with Trump\u2019s response in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>That year, protesters tried to pull down the statue of Jackson in Lafayette Park and did damage to others all around the country, such as those of Washington, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/irony-protesters-pulling-statue-thomas-jefferson-name-freedom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thomas Jefferson<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/far-left-rioters-use-juneteenth-tear-statue-ulysses-s-grant-defeated-confederacy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ulysses Grant<\/a> and abolitionist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/statue-lifelong-republican-hero-abolitionist-frederick-douglass-destroyed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frederick Douglass<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Anti-racism protesters tried to pull down a monument of Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States, in a park near the White House before police intervened. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/oy3z685A61\">https:\/\/t.co\/oy3z685A61<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jXptDZCHKW\">pic.twitter.com\/jXptDZCHKW<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 ABC News (@ABC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ABC\/status\/1275402999465213954?\">June 23, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On June 26, 2020, three days after the Jackson monument incident, Trump issued an <a href=\"https:\/\/trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov\/presidential-actions\/executive-order-protecting-american-monuments-memorials-statues-combating-recent-criminal-violence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">executive order<\/a> that said, \u201cKey targets in the violent extremists\u2019 campaign against our country are public monuments, memorials, and statues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir selection of targets reveals a deep ignorance of our history, and is indicative of a desire to indiscriminately destroy anything that honors our past and to erase from the public mind any suggestion that our past may be worth honoring, cherishing, remembering, or understanding,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n<p>Trump announced that his administration would be prosecuting \u201cto the fullest extent permitted under Federal law\u201d anyone who vandalized a monument, citing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/archives\/jm\/criminal-resource-manual-1666-destruction-government-property-18-usc-1361\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Section 1361 of Title 18<\/a>, U.S. Code, \u201cwhich authorizes a penalty of up to 10 years\u2019 imprisonment for the willful injury of Federal property.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also sent in the National Guard into D.C. days ahead of issuing his order, <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/energy-environment\/504282-national-guard-deploying-unarmed-personnel-to-protect-dc-monuments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hill<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>A funny thing happened. Once protesters knew a prison sentence of 10 years was on the table and Trump meant business, the statues stopped tumbling down.<\/p>\n<p>Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/white-house\/biden-revokes-controversial-trump-orders-monuments-immigration-n1267463\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revoked<\/a> Trump\u2019s monuments executive order soon after taking office in January 2021, and we see the results.<\/p>\n<p>Whether it\u2019s the border, the economy, foreign relations or destruction of the country\u2019s heritage, the president always seems to put America last.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>We who work here at The Western Journal have fought for years against Big Tech and the elites who want to shut us down and then shut America down. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Make no mistake \u2014 nothing will be the same after November 2024.
