Greg Abbott\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/gov.texas.gov\/uploads\/files\/press\/O-MastersJaime202202221358.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2022 directive<\/a> that \u201cso<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/texas-gov-abbott-directs-state-to-investigate-child-transgender-procedures-it-constitutes-child-abuse\/\" title=\"Texas Gov. Abbott Directs State to Investigate Child Transgender Procedures: It Constitutes 'Child Abuse'\">-called \u2018sex change\u2019 procedures constitute child abuse<\/a> under existing Texas law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Haim\u2019s communication with Rufo eventually led to Rufo writing a piece for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.city-journal.org\/article\/sex-change-procedures-at-texas-childrens-hospital\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">City Journal<\/a> in May 2023 detailing the hospital\u2019s illegal activity, which, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianpost.com\/news\/surgeon-who-exposed-texas-hospitals-trans-surgeries-indicted.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Christian Post<\/a> reported, in turn led to a state investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The state findings confirmed Haim\u2019s allegations and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/woke-harvard-president-hit-career-killing-accusation-evidence-hard-dispute\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rufo\u2019s<\/a> reporting, and the Texas Children\u2019s Hospital was forced to cease all such procedures in September 2023.<\/p>\n<p>In January, the surgeon publicly identified himself as the whistleblower \u2014 in part to protect himself and his family after the feds showed up at his doorstep in June 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was this deep visceral part of me that knew exactly what was happening \u2014 that they were there because we had challenged the political ideology, and they were there to make an example out of me,\u201d Haim told National Review.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">This is the man the Biden Administration wants to put in prison for up to 10 years. Rufo \u2694\ufe0f (@realchrisrufo) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realchrisrufo\/status\/1799245234137935906?\">June 8, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Tina Ansari, the assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Texas, claimed the reason for his indictment was that he shared the medical records of minor patients without permission of those minors, their parents or their doctors.<\/p>\n<p>However, as Rufo wrote in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.city-journal.org\/article\/doj-indicts-doctor-who-exposed-the-barbarism-of-gender-affirming-care\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">City Journal<\/a> article on Thursday, \u201cI can confirm that nothing in the information provided to me identified any individual; all the documents were, in fact, carefully redacted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>National Review noted that even though the information Haim gave to Rufo included no identifying markers or patient charts, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/report-warns-scheduling-doctor-appointment-online-may-put-medical-info-risk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">federal law<\/a> permits the disclosure of anonymous information \u2014 even protected information \u2014 in the case of \u201cegregious medical misconduct.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And most people would \u2014 or should \u2014 agree that performing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/left-wrong-trans-suicides-surge-following-gender-affirming-surgeries-study-shows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">breast removal and genital reconstruction<\/a> surgeries on children absolutely counts as \u201cegregious medical misconduct.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Still, the fact that the brave doctor who risked his career to save these children has been the one vilified by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/millions-cross-border-illegally-biden-doj-proclaims-thousands-jan-6-protesters-prosecuted-outside-capitol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DOJ<\/a>, while the doctors and nurses who mutilated them walk free, is truly disgraceful.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, the doctors and nurses who were responsible for violating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/americas-largest-childrens-hospital-stop-transgender-procedures-minors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abbott\u2019s<\/a> directive have faced no scrutiny or legal trouble at all.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Many say that it must be scary going through this. And the only way to expose it is to not play into this Kabuki theater, like these people are practitioners of justice. Because if we were to collude with them, we would be sanctioning our own destruction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His indictment was unquestionably unjust, but here he was absolutely right.<\/p>\n<p>The best way forward, not just for Haim but for anyone standing up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/republicans-conviction-overturned-doj-humiliated-major-reversal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden\u2019s corrupt DOJ<\/a> and the woke hegemony, is not to back down.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Should Haim be cleared of all charges?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Rather, he and other victims of this corrupt, politically motivated \u201cjustice\u201d should maintain their innocence and continue calling out these pretty-sounding euphemisms for what they are.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/making-dent-liability-fears-driving-providers-drop-gender-affirming-care-kids-even-legal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gender-affirming care<\/a>\u201d is the mutilation of vulnerable, confused children, a cynical cash grab and institutionalized child abuse.<\/p>\n<p>And the only way to stop the further spread of this insanity is to publicly condemn and fight against it, regardless of the personal cost.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully, more doctors will exhibit the same kind of courage under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/legal-expert-says-alvin-braggs-first-choice-witness-trump-trial-telling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">persecution<\/a> that Dr. Eithan Haim has displayed.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>\u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d Those 12 words have been stuck in my head since I first read them. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Former Lt.
