Europe have been indicative of political shifts America.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, back in 2016, the United Kingdom shocked the world when voters rebelled against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/secret-censors-babylon-bee-ceo-thinks-facebook-is-moving-beyond-news-to-suppress-wrong-kind-of-comedy\/\" title=\"Secret Censors: Babylon Bee CEO Thinks Facebook Is Moving Beyond News to Suppress Wrong Kind Of Comedy\">left-wing establishment<\/a> of the European Union and voted for Brexit.<\/p>\n<p>After that, Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the U.S. presidential race by a wide margin.<\/p>\n<p>Might something similar be happening in Europe again this year?<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/eu-election-right-migration-climate-polls-vote-0fbfcb7bd987008e802d70f759fa870b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Associated Press<\/a> reported, heretofore reliably left-wing countries such as France and Germany saw stunning wins for their right-leaning parties in recent elections.<\/p>\n<p>In the parliamentary elections on Sunday, the usually left-wing EU saw a major shakeup as several European conservative parties won seats in the EU parliamentary elections.<\/p>\n<p>In Italy, right-wing Prime Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/video-elon-musk-goes-viral-twitter-owner-says-2-words-italian\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Giorgia Meloni<\/a> gained more than double the amount of seats in the EU Parliament, and in Germany, the Alternative for Germany party \u201cswept past\u201d the left-wing Social Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>French President Emmanuel Macron suffered perhaps the most crushing defeat when it came to the EU parliamentary elections.<\/p>\n<p>According to AP News, Macron, noticing how much his right-leaning opponent, Marine Le Pen, was dominating the polls, decided to dissolve the parliament and call for new elections.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Does this signal good things for Donald Trump?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Unfortunately for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bidens-nuclear-armageddon-comments-egregious-even-french-president-emmanuel-macron-speaks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Macron<\/a>, the move backfired spectacularly, and Le Pen\u2019s party won twice as many seats as did Macron\u2019s party, spelling trouble for when his term ends in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>To his credit, Macron accepted the defeat gracefully, telling the French people, \u201cI\u2019ve heard your message, your concerns, and I won\u2019t leave them unanswered.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, again, European politics function rather differently than American politics, but sometimes what happens across the pond can foreshadow political shifts at home.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, as <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/donald-trump-victory-similar-brexit\/story?id=43420714\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABC News<\/a> reported in the immediate aftermath of the 2016 election, the conservative victory of Brexit portended the conservative victory of Trump, in that it showed how ordinary voters had gotten fed-up with left-wing policies.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the impetus for Brexit came from frustration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/european-union-chief-a-special-place-in-hell-for-brexit-promoters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EU\u2019s<\/a> lax immigration policies and punishing economical and trade regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, Trump sailed to victory in 2016 thanks in part to many of the same frustrations, with even Trump referring to his campaign as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-uk-lawmakers-set-vote-boris-johnsons-brexit-bill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brexit<\/a> plus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As James Hartley, professor and chair of economics at Mount Holyoke College, told ABC, \u201cThe shock after both elections is a sure sign that the intellectual elites are completely isolated from half of the electorate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Could this rightward swing in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-europe-at-crossroads-as-far-right-makes-big-gains-in-vote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EU elections<\/a> be signaling another Trump victory?<\/p>\n<p>Hard to say \u2014 as the good folks on the social media platform X noticed, these European victories were at least heavily reminiscent of the Brexit phenomenon.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Brexit Trump vibes. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ZFk3NQxDnc\">https:\/\/t.co\/ZFk3NQxDnc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Cernovich (@Cernovich) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Cernovich\/status\/1799989493501739153?\">June 10, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And with Trump having been the victim of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/will-trump-go-prison-need-know-following-rigged-hush-trial-money-verdict\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">politically motivated lawfare<\/a> from the Democrats, he might have an even better chance than he did in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, no one can predict the outcome of any election with absolute certainty.<\/p>\n<p>A Trump victory might be probable right now, but anything could happen between now and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/evils-sufferable-trump-verdict-2024-election-lessons-learned-1775-76\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">November<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the very least, these EU elections represent a dissatisfaction with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/arizona-gov-ducey-vetoes-sex-education-bill-signs-executive-order-instead\/\" title=\"Arizona Gov.
