But the conviction was nothing more than a culmination of the left\u2019s never-ending 2016 election denialism.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn a straight choice between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, if you care about democracy, if you care about freedom, I don\u2019t know how you could do anything other than vote for Donald Trump for precisely the reasons that they claim that you can\u2019t vote for Donald Trump,\u201d Brand continued. <\/p>\n<p>The Biden-Harris campaign, clearly with zero self-awareness, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BidenHQ\/status\/1798400415114875288\">posted<\/a> on X that Trump has \u201cplans to jail his political opponents\u201d just to \u201cregain power, preserve his own freedom and seek revenge on anyone who opposes him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump currently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/man-in-scotland-faces-jail-time-for-offensive-tweet-mocking-war-heros-death\/\" title=\"Man In Scotland Faces Jail Time For \u2018Offensive\u2019 Tweet Mocking War Hero\u2019s Death\">faces jail time<\/a> for his show trial conviction, with sentencing scheduled for July 11. Democrats have resorted to lawfare to kneecap Trump\u2019s ability to campaign as President Joe Biden fails to overtake Trump in the polls.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Biden and his party have made it clear that their campaign strategy hinges on Trump being the victim of a weaponized justice system. Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/16\/biden-fundraises-off-lawfare-circus-after-taunting-trump-for-being-stuck-in-court\/\">fundraised<\/a> off the lawfare while his team performed a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/28\/biden-pressers-confirm-get-trump-lawfare-is-a-campaign-stunt\/\">publicity stunt<\/a> outside the Manhattan courthouse on the day jury deliberations were set to begin.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the Manhattan show trial, Trump was ordered to pay a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/04\/19\/last-week-in-lawfare-land-jury-selection-dueling-schedules-and-a-big-scotus-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$454 million penalty<\/a> for a \u201ccrime\u201d in which there were no victims and no was financially hurt.
