The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with investors and allowed the case to move forward.<\/p>\n<p>Meta had urged the high court to take up its appeal, arguing that the 9th Circuit\u2019s decision would \u201cforce public companies to inform investors of past incidents that pose no known threat to the business.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Cambridge Analytica breach caused all sorts of commotion in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/washington-dc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Washington, D.C.\">Washington, D.C.<\/a>, from investigations into Facebook\u2019s privacy policy to congressional hearings in which CEO Mark Zuckerberg was scolded by lawmakers.
