It\u2019s not just \u200beducation in the sense of knowledge; kids\u2062 are schooled in far-left activism and secular spiritualism.<\/p>\n<p>Just \u2064the other day\u200c my kids \u200band I were at a book store and saw a bright display of \u2063children\u2019s literature,\u2063 where \u201cHeather Has Two Mommies\u201d was \u200cprominently featured for\u2062 sale. It\u2019s a \u2064book that was first\u2064 published in 1989 by \u2063NONNY HARDWICK that is still celebrated 67 editions (and 500,000 books in print) later. \u2062That one book has given birth to \u2062an unapologetic and aggressive homosexual literature \u2063for children. \u200dScholastic Books, our beloved\u200c publishing company, is home to the most extreme and fringe \u200citems in this category.<\/p>\n<p>The Scholastic Bookfair was once a\u200b safe and exciting place for children and parents to find educational and interesting reading material. However, with the influence of LGBT activists, Scholastic has now\u200d released a\u2062 &#8220;Read With Pride&#8221; resource guide\u200b that directs \u2062readers towards extreme \u200bleft-wing sources on LGBT ideology. This includes websites \u200blike Everyday Feminism and\u2064 The Washington Post, as well as a long list of\u200b LGBT activist organizations. The guide \u200balso lists books\u2064 for\u200d children ages 0-12 that cover various LGBT identities such as queer,\u2062 nonbinary,\u2064 transgender, and asexual. The content of the guide emphasizes the \u200dconcept of gender as a &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nc-lt-gov-robinson-to-newsmax-critical-race-theory-mirrors-ku-klux-klan\/\" title=\"NC Lt. Gov. Robinson to Newsmax: Critical Race Theory Mirrors Ku Klux Klan\">socially constructed category<\/a>&#8221; and positions anyone who isn&#8217;t queer as a problem. The\u2062 writer of the guide, Kazia Berkley-Cramer, is a self-identified queer children&#8217;s librarian and is involved in various LGBT book awards and \u200corganizations. This shows that\u200b the entire industry of children&#8217;s literature has been overtaken by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/student-suspended-from-education-program-for-saying-a-man-is-a-man-a-woman-is-a-woman\/\" title=\"Student Suspended From Education Program For Saying, \u2018A Man Is A Man, A Woman Is A Woman\u2019\">left-wing ideology<\/a> and activism, which is now being promoted in schools by trusted organizations like \u200cScholastic Books. The effects of this can already be seen, \u200dwith books like &#8220;Heather Has Two Mommies&#8221; still being \u2062celebrated and many more \u2063extreme LGBT books being published\u2064 by Scholastic.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><\/p>\n<div class=\"article-content\">\n<p>The Scholastic Bookfair used to be an exciting time for kids and a place where parents could feel safe knowing their kids would have a world of interesting, educational, and enlightening reading experiences. Unfortunately, like so many innocent joys of childhood, LGBT activists have taken that safety away. Scholastic has fully embraced not only gay and transgender education and fiction for kids at preschool age and above but the full spectrum of extreme transgender and sexual ideology of the left.<\/p>\n<p>Just in time for \u201cpride\u201d month, the children\u2019s publishing company released its \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scholastic.com\/content\/dam\/scholastic\/educators\/discussion-guides\/read-with-pride-disc-guide.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read With Pride<\/a>\u201d resource guide. The guide, associated website, and list of books and resources all, as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-please-pardon-jon-woods-a-victim-of-process-crimes-like-michael-flynn\/\" title=\"President Trump, Please Pardon Jon Woods, a Victim of Process Crimes Like Michael Flynn\">left loves<\/a> to boast, unapologetically send parents, educators, and kids toward the most extreme left-wing sources on LGBT ideology.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1896888058\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ebe9847e8df3f0237691543345617b8e fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ebe9847e8df3f0237691543345617b8e\"><\/div>\n<p>The guide directs to websites like Everyday Feminism, Teen Vogue, Rainbow Book List, and The Washington Post and provides a long list of other LGBT activist organizations and references. It presents a series of scare statistics provided by The Trevor Project to justify the need for such expansive and dedicated resources. All indicate a child\u2019s home and their families are a danger requiring outside intervention and support.<\/p>\n<p>The main purpose, of course, is the list of books available for kids from ages 0-8 up to 12-plus. The books are identified by which specific group they focus on, ranging from gay and lesbian to so-called queer, nonbinary, transgender, and asexual.<\/p>\n<p>Gone are the days of highlighting books featuring two dads or, as astonishing as it is to think about, the simple controversy of breaking out definitions of gay, bisexual, and transgender in a glossary. Now kids get dozens of sex and \u201cgender\u201d options to choose from, including queer, genderqueer, sapphic, panromantic, and two-spirit. They also get a new term to designate anyone who isn\u2019t queer, \u201callocishet,\u201d which the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/shop.scholastic.com\/content\/dam\/Commerce\/Parents\/docs\/Read_with_Pride_Resource_Guide_2023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read With Pride<\/a>\u201d guide defines as, \u201cpeople whose gender and sexuality are privileged by society.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The term combines allosexual, meaning a person who is \u201cnot asexual,\u201d or cisgender, \u201csomeone whose current gender matches the gender they were assigned at birth,\u201d and heterosexual, which they don\u2019t bother to define at all. The content is dominated by the abstract concept of gender, which is defined as a \u201csocially constructed category for dividing humans.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-52ebed6be9be3efd642aa3722de67d6d fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-52ebed6be9be3efd642aa3722de67d6d\"><\/div>\n<p>Anyone not queer is positioned as a problem, constantly referenced in historical injustices. For example, \u201cqueer\u201d is defined as a \u201cterm historically wielded as an insult by allocishet people.\u201d Not only this, but two-spirit is referenced as specifically for Native Americans who reject the \u201ccolonialist gender binary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Making it clear what their intentions are, the guide instructs, \u201cBooks and literature are never neutral; by engaging with queer literature for children and young adults, you are disrupting the status quo that implies being cisgender, heterosexual, and allosexual are the default. You are showing children an expanded way of thinking and being that validates all children and all people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The writer of the guide? Kazia Berkley-Cramer, a self-identified queer children\u2019s librarian who uses \u201cshe\/they\u201d pronouns. She\u2019s served on the American Library Association\u2019s book award committees and cofounded several LGBT-specific book awards. She has an MA in Library and Information Science and in Children\u2019s Literature. She is frequently interviewed on her activist efforts and contributes to a project called <a href=\"https:\/\/readingwhilewhite.blogspot.com\/2019\/05\/problematic-patterns-in-white.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reading While White<\/a>, designed to ensure literature for kids and teens is carefully edited for anti-racist sensitivities.<\/p>\n<p>This is obvious by her choice of words \u2014 only left-wing activists talk about \u201cdisrupting\u201d norms and whine about \u201ccolonialist\u201d influences. Another resource titled, \u201cTeen Librarian Toolbox,\u201d published in the School Library Journal, <a href=\"https:\/\/teenlibrariantoolbox.com\/2017\/10\/26\/23584\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">interviewed her<\/a> and asked her what she\u2019d like to see more of in publishing.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-a4a482946de0fcdfd95a5f7f8766c2b1 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-a4a482946de0fcdfd95a5f7f8766c2b1\"><\/div>\n<p>She responded, \u201cMore books by and about queer PoC\/Native people. More books by and about trans and nonbinary people, intersex people, ace\/aro people. More books by and about queer disabled people. More picture books, beginning readers, transitional readers, and middle grade with LGBTQIA+ representation. More queer characters in all the genres.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t some obscure activist writing for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/questions-mount-after-biden-sets-modern-record-with-no-solo-press-conferences\/\" title=\"Questions Mount After Biden Sets \u2018Modern Record\u2019 With No Solo Press Conferences\">left-wing publication<\/a>. She is mainstream in children\u2019s literature and with library associations. It seems the entire industry of children\u2019s literature has been completely overtaken by this very specific brand of left-wing ideology and activism. All of this trickles down to schools as respectable organizations, long trusted by parents and educators, unite under a singular activist agenda.<\/p>\n<p>From the necessary educational requirements to become a librarian to book awards organizations to publishers seeking library association recommendations, the system is designed to encode a left-wing worldview into all available options for kids to consume. This isn\u2019t an issue about a few inappropriate books being found on library shelves, this is an issue of the entire children\u2019s literature publishing industry.<\/p>\n<p>Kazia Berkley-Cramer identifies as queer, so she feels compelled to ensure every child has the same opportunity. In fact, the current viewpoint is all children have an equal chance of being some form of queer and therefore need an abundant source of queer literature every step of the way through school to ensure they can comfortably identify as such. Their families won\u2019t accept them and, worse, might harm them, so school is the only safe place for them to be themselves. Teachers, librarians, and other adults are the only ones students can trust, plus left-wing LGBT sources.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than the argued goal of simply introducing diversity and opening the worldview of kids to see different kinds of people, these efforts seek to present a world in which queer is the norm, experienced through hundreds of slight variations, and the \u201callocishet\u201d is an outdated and limited version of humanity that should be shunned and considered with suspicion.<\/p>\n<p>Where else can parents go to avoid this saturation of LGBT ideology? When activists become the people directing the curriculum, selecting the materials, and promoting only one worldview, publishers who want to remain relevant will select content that aligns with those ideological preferences. This is no longer just acceptance that gay people live in our society.
