Both of these prosecutors received financial\u2062 support from billionaire George Soros, and their actions in \u2064office were\u200c deemed to be soft on crime. DeSantis used\u200b his constitutional power to suspend\u200b them\u200d for neglect of duty and incompetence, and the court ruled \u2063in his favor. This case serves as \u200ba template for other states to remove corrupt prosecutors backed by Soros and stands as a victory for \u200dthe people of \u200dFlorida \u2064in \u2062the fight against crime. Ron DeSantis used his powers as governor to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/desantis-didnt-just-suspend-soros-funded-prosecutor-sent-police-evict-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">depose<\/a> Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren.<\/p>\n<p>The governor signed an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flgov.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Executive-Order-22-176.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">executive order<\/a> suspending the Tampa-based Warren, citing \u201cneglect of duty\u201d and \u201cincompetence,\u201d as his cause for removal.<\/p>\n<p>Around the same time, DeSantis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/desantis-uses-executive-order-crack-soros-funded-prosecutor-dereliction-duty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">removed<\/a> progressive Ninth Judicial Circuit State Attorney Monique Worrell, also citing her for \u201cdereliction of duty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe practices and policies of her office have allowed murderers, other violent offenders, and dangerous drug traffickers to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/woke-prosecutor-fumes-at-evil-dictator-desantis-for-booting-her-from-office-destroyed-democracy\/\" title=\"Angry prosecutor accuses DeSantis of destroying democracy by removing her from office. Calls him an evil dictator.\">receive extremely reduced sentences<\/a> and escape the full consequences of their criminal conduct. In some cases, these offenders have evaded incarceration altogether,\u201d DeSantis said of Worrell in his statement, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/desantis-suspends-orlando-state-attorney-over-dereliction-duty-crime\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> reported at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cState Attorney Worrell\u2019s practices undermine Florida law and endanger the safety, security, and welfare of the communities that Ms. Worrell was elected to serve,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/desantis-announces-suspension-soros-funded-prosecutor-refused-enforce-certain-laws\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DeSantis<\/a> added.<\/p>\n<p>Soros also funded Worrell\u2019s campaign for her position in Orlando.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Should more governors follow DeSantis&#8217; lead?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, Worrell blasted DeSantis as a \u201cdictator,\u201d and she and her allies took the gov. to court to prevent the removal claiming that her removal was about politics, not duty.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">JUST IN: Suspended State Attorney Monique Worrell calls Gov. Worrell (@MoniqueHWorrell) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MoniqueHWorrell\/status\/1744477839804575931?\">January 8, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Good news for the people of Florida: Worrell and her ego did not impress the Supreme Court of Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday, the Florida Supreme Court upheld the governor\u2019s decision to suspend Worrell.<\/p>\n<p>The court ruled 6-1 that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/desantis-calls-harsh-repercussions-doctors-performing-life-altering-surgeries-children\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DeSantis<\/a> had the right to chuck Worrell out of a job, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/florida-supreme-court-upholds-desantiss-suspension-of-progressive-prosecutor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Review<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot agree with Worrell that the allegations in the Executive Order are impermissibly vague, nor that they address conduct that falls within the lawful exercise of prosecutorial discretion,\u201d the court\u2019s wrote in its <a href=\"https:\/\/supremecourt.flcourts.gov\/content\/download\/2435518\/opinion\/Opinion_SC2023-1246.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">majority opinion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have said that a suspension order does not infringe on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nevada-trump-campaign-says-clark-county-registrar-joe-gloria-hiding-from-subpoena-service\/\" title=\"Nevada: Trump Campaign Says Clark County Registrar Joe Gloria Hiding From Subpoena Service\">state attorney<\/a>\u2019s lawful exercise of prosecutorial discretion where it alleges that such discretion is, in fact, not being exercised in individual cases but, rather, that generalized policies have resulted in categorical enforcement practices,\u201d the opinion added, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/florida-supreme-court-backs-ron-desantis-removal-soros-backed-prosecutor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The outlet also noted that Worrell received financial support from the left-wing activist group Our Vote Our Voice, which received a $1 million cash infusion by the George Soros-backed group Democracy Now.<\/p>\n<p>The court ultimately ruled in favor of the governor, and for a rather simple, constitutional reason.<\/p>\n<p>The Florida constitution gives the governor the power to suspend a state officer for \u201cmalfeasance, misfeasance, neglect of duty, drunkenness, incompetence, permanent inability to perform official duties, or commission of a felony, and may fill the office by appointment for the period of suspension.\u201d The same rules give DeSantis the power to reinstate suspended officers, as well.<\/p>\n<p>This should be looked on as a template for other states seeking to remove the dangerous, left-wing, soft-on-crime leftists with whom <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/george-soros-funded-prosecutor-finds-without-job\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">George Soros<\/a> has succeeded in burdening the people with.<\/p>\n<p>States that don\u2019t have such rules should look to implement them and states that do have them need to utilize them.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s what the people want.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>In just a few months, the world is going to change forever.
