Biden recently apologized to Ukrainian President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/volodymyr-zelensky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Volodymyr Zelensky<\/a> for the delay in U.S. aid to Ukraine, blaming resistance from Republican lawmakers for uncertainty if this aid would be delivered; Cotton rebuked Biden\u2019s blame, arguing the president only has himself to blame.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut take a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/what-conservatism-must-conserve\/\" title=\"What Conservatism Must Conserve\">step back<\/a> and look at the broader context,\u201d Cotton said on <em>Fox News Sunday<\/em>. \u201cJoe Biden is largely responsible for tempting Vladimir Putin to do what he\u2019s always wanted to do, which is invade and annex Ukraine back to Russia. And if you notice, Vladimir Putin only tends to invade Ukraine when Democrats are president. He did under Barack Obama; he did it under Joe Biden. It did not happen under Donald Trump. For four years, we had peace and stability.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cotton also criticized Biden\u2019s response to the war in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/gaza\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Gaza<\/a> between Israel and Hamas, arguing the president has appealed to Democratic supporters who support the terrorist group. He argued that had the United States backed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/israel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Israel<\/a> \u201cto the hilt\u201d since the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas last year, the war in Gaza would likely be over already. <\/p>\n<p>Because of these wars, Cotton cited the need to have former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a> back in office if voters want \u201cpeace and stability\u201d around the world.
