These drinks \u200ccontained chemicals that could be harmful to consumers and\u2063 some even had bacteria or \u200bforeign objects in them. They are \u200din need of help\u2062 from readers to\u2062 continue their fight for a fair election \u200bin 2024. \u200dWith \u200dthe support of readers, they can continue to expose\u200d corruption and provide important information to\u200d the public.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/news\/\">  News <\/a>  <\/p>\n<h2>28 Different Sodas and Drinks Recalled &#8211; Mug Root Beer, Fiji Water and Powerade Among the Pulled Items<\/h2>\n<p> <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/russdavis\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/russdavis\/%20\"><span>Jack Davis<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   June 9, 2024 at 7:51am <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>Almost 30 beverages have been recalled so far this year, according to a new notice from the Food and Drug Administration.<\/p>\n<p>In one of the most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fda-warns-these-salad-dressings-pose-health-risks\/\" title=\"FDA Warns These Salad Dressings Pose Health Risks\">recent recalls<\/a>, four drinks from the Charles Boggini Company, which are sold at restaurants, contain chemicals that can be harmful, according to the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/index.cfm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FDA enforcement notice<\/a> analyzed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/money\/food\/2024\/06\/07\/soda-recall-2024-dye-cancer-fda\/74013721007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USA Today<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s Pink Lemonade, Cola Flavoring Base, Yellow Lemonade and Yellow Lemonade X <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/index.cfm?Product=206952\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">were all recalled<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Pink Lemonade drink contained FD&#038;C Red No. 40 dye, a dye linked to colorectal cancer. The Yellow Lemonade and Yellow Lemonade X contained FD&#038;C Yellow No. 5, which can cause allergic reactions in some people.<\/p>\n<p>The Cola Flavoring Base, meanwhile, had sulfites linked to respiratory issues when consumed in large doses.<\/p>\n<p>About 1.9 million bottles of Fiji Water were recalled, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcchicago.com\/news\/local\/over-78000-cases-of-fiji-water-sold-online-recalled-due-to-possible-presence-of-manganese-bacteria\/3458045\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WMAO-TV<\/a>. The water was suspected of containing manganese and three \u00a0of what the FDA called \u201cbacterial genera.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Affected bottles have the UPC code: 6 32565 00001 2.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe FDA classification announced yesterday relates to a matter from several months ago that never posed any health or safety risk,\u201d company representative Melissa England said.<\/p>\n<p>In summarizing the recalls, the U.K. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/health\/article-13502023\/sodas-drinks-recalled-FDA-harmful-cancer-chemicals.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Mail<\/a> noted that Tapee Tea was recalled for containing anti-inflammatory drugs never listed on the label nor declared on the label; Schweppes Zero Sugar Ginger Ale was recalled by Pepsi after it was learned it actually contained sugar; and 2,000 cases of Mug Root Beer were recalled because they contained Mug Zero Sugar root beer.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Were you subject to any of these recalls?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Almost 25,000 cases of Martinelli\u2019s apple juice were recalled due to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trader-joes-recalls-61000-pounds-food-item-contamination-risk-discovered\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">elevated levels<\/a> of inorganic arsenic.<\/p>\n<p>The Mail also noted that, of the 28 recalls, 24 of them were due to the product containing something \u2014 harmful chemicals included \u2014 that was not declared.<\/p>\n<p>More than 900 cases of Powerade were recalled, noted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.al.com\/news\/2024\/04\/coca-cola-has-recalled-its-popular-sports-drinks-due-to-potential-foreign-metal-objects.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AL.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The included 87 cases of Powerade Zero Mixed Berry (lot codes 0013098209, 0013111742, 0013111657, and 0013119902); \u00a0366 cases of Powerade Mountain Berry Blast ( lot codes 0013098209, 0013111742, 0013111657, and 0013119902) and 149 cases of Powerade Zero Fruit Punch lot codes 0013098209, 0013111742, 0013111657, and 0013119902.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The drink was recalled due to concern that there might be a foreign metal object in the drinks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are a lot of drinks that have been scrutinized of late and a lot of it has to do with labeling and undeclared ingredients,\u201d Dr. Darin Detwiler, a food safety expert at Northeastern University in Boston, said, according to the Mail.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple infant formulas have also been recalled, per the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/massive-recall-issued-common-herb-people-across-multiple-states-infected-one-hospitalized\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FDA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>More than 1 million cans of Enfamil Nutramigen Hypoallergenic Infant Formula Powder were recalled because they might contain the bacteria Cronobacter sakazakii. The bacteria can cause infants to suffer from seizures or brain swelling.<\/p>\n<p>The Goat Milk Toddler Formula Two produced by Sammy\u2019s Milk was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hormel-foods-announces-recall-toss-anything-two-codes-immediately\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recalled<\/a> over misleading claims.<\/p>\n<p>The FDA<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> maintains a page<\/a> that consumers can use to search for products and calls.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>\u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d Those 12 words have been stuck in my head since I first read them. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Former Lt.
