She \u2064had worked at the \u200bpark for 24 years and was an administrator \u200bat a secretive restaurant. \u200cIt was reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bruce-springsteen-jeep-celebrity-spokesman-arrested-for-dwi\/\" title=\"Bruce Springsteen, Jeep Celebrity Spokesman, Arrested For DWI\">reckless driving<\/a> by the cart&#8217;s driver\u200b led to her death.\u2064 However, there are conflicting reports about\u2064 the incident. The police classified it as a traffic collision, but a Facebook post from a fellow \u200bemployee claims that the cart\u2064 hit a \u200dbump and Lear fell out of the vehicle. Disneyland did not respond to \u2064the allegations. The park&#8217;s president expressed condolences and said\u2064 they are focused \u2063on supporting Lear&#8217;s family and colleagues. The \u2064police are currently investigating \u200cthe \u200cincident. Jon McClintock said police responded after a report of a woman falling off a cart and striking her head.<\/p>\n<p>Lear had worked at Disneyland Resort for 24 years, and was an administrator at Disney\u2019s secretive restaurant, Club 33.<\/p>\n<p>A Disneyland employee said reckless driving led Lear\u2019s death, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/06\/09\/us-news\/disneyland-employee-bonnye-mavis-lear-died-after-she-was-thrown-from-a-golf-cart-friends\/?utm_medium=social&#038;utm_source=twitter&#038;utm_campaign=nypost\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the incident was classified as a traffic collision.<\/p>\n<p>However, in a post on Facebook that is no longer accessible, Disney California Adventure attractions cast member\u00a0Rae Delgado said that was not the full story.<\/p>\n<p>Lear was riding in a rear-facing seat as the cart was driving at about 20 miles per hour through Critter County, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/leftists-turn-new-scene-disneylands-snow-white-causes-outrage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">section of the park<\/a> that is currently closed, Delgado said.<\/p>\n<p>The cart hit a bump and lurched, she said.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-13509743\/Disneyland-employee-dies-golf-cart-Anaheim.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.K. Daily Mail,<\/a> citing Delgado\u2019s post, wrote that Lear \u201creacted immediately\u201d and grabbed a handrail.<\/p>\n<p>The rail gave way, Delgado wrote, and , Lear went \u201cout of the vehicle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt didn\u2019t have to end this way. All of this mess could\u2019ve been avoided if the driver of the golf cart wasn\u2019t <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jeep-pauses-springsteen-ad-following-dwi-arrest-report\/\" title=\"Jeep Pauses Springsteen Ad Following DWI Arrest Report\">driving recklessly<\/a>,\u201d Delgado said, according to the Post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe golf cart from the entertainment department was brand new. How the hell could it fall apart?! It\u2019s just so unfair to us &#038; the family,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cManagers are telling [cast members] to not speak about the circumstances of Bonnye\u2019s death to others,\u201d the Mail quoted Delgado as posting.\u00a0 \u201cThey\u2019re asking for silence. They want it to be forgotten.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/disney-makes-significant-layoffs-pixar-admitting-mistake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Disneyland<\/a> did not respond to the Post\u2019s questions about the allegation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnye and offer our sincere condolences to everyone who cared for her,\u201d Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt this time, we are focused on supporting her family and our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/minnesota-theater-cancels-cinderella-production-citing-too-many-white-cast-members\/\" title=\"Minnesota Theater Cancels \u2018Cinderella\u2019 Production Citing Too Many White Cast Members\">cast members<\/a> through this tragic event and making sure they have the resources they need,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Lear\u2019s death remains under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/3-disneyland-visitors-injured-collapse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">investigation<\/a> by Anaheim police.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>I heard a chilling comment the other day: \u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>That wasn\u2019t said by a conspiracy theorist or a doomsday prophet.
