This announcement comes after 13 protestors, including a\u200d Stanford Daily reporter, were charged with\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/video-richard-shermans-domestic-violence-arrest-foreshadowed-by-thug-like-behavior\/\" title=\"VIDEO: Richard Sherman\u2019s Domestic Violence Arrest Foreshadowed by Thug-Like Behavior\">felony burglary<\/a> for barricading themselves in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/federal-judge-sides-with-texas-university-president-who-called-off-on-campus-drag-show\/\" title=\"Federal judge supports Texas university president's decision to cancel on-campus drag show.\">university president&#8217;<\/a>s and provost&#8217;s office.\u2062 The students involved have been banned from campus and\u2063 may face \u200dfurther consequences. The protestors had demanded the school&#8217;s divestment from Israel, financial transparency, and\u2062 the dropping of disciplinary and criminal charges against pro-Palestine students. Stanford has stated that these actions\u200b were necessary to ensure the safety of the campus community.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>(The Center Square) \u2013 Just after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-president-trump-gives-pardons-to-73-individuals-and-commutes-another-70-sentences-steve-bannon-is-included\/\" title=\"BREAKING: President Trump Gives Pardons to 73 Individuals and Commutes Another 70 Sentences \u2013 Steve Bannon Is Included\">felony charges<\/a> were announced against pro-Palestine protestors, Stanford University declared applicants would be required to submit ACT or SAT scores for fall 2025 admission.<\/p>\n<p>Stanford filed felony burglary charges against the 13 protestors, including one Stanford Daily reporter, for barricading themselves in the university president\u2019s and provost\u2019s office building. Involved students, who had bail set at $20,000, are banned from the campus until June 12, and seniors will not be allowed to graduate.<\/p>\n<p>The protestors demanded the school\u2019s divestment from Israel, financial disclosure from the 2022 fiscal year, and dropping disciplinary and criminal charges against all pro-Palestine students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThirteen individuals were arrested inside Building 10 this morning. In addition to going through the law enforcement process, any arrested individuals who are students will be immediately suspended. Any who are seniors will not be allowed to graduate. These actions are necessary based on the public safety threat posed to our campus community,\u201d wrote Stanford Interim President Richard Saller and Provost Jenny Martinez.<\/p>\n<p>Stanford also cleared out the school\u2019s pro-Palestine demonstration site, saying, \u201cThe situation on campus has now crossed the line from peaceful protest to actions that threaten the safety of our community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stanford had allowed the site to remain occupied since April, making the escalation to felony charges and site dispersal a quick turn of events.<\/p>\n<p>Sit-ins at the president\u2019s office have a long history at Stanford, such as from the Vietnam War era. Stanford\u2019s website hosts an exhibit on many such instances of activism, including 1980s South Africa divestment protestors occupying the president\u2019s office.
