The body of Maury-Ange Faith \u2063Martinez \u200bwas reported missing by her family \u2064in August 2023 and her skeletal remains were discovered in January 2024. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/construction-begins-on-new-orange-county-medical-examiners-office\/\" title=\"Construction starts on new Orange County Medical Examiner's Office.\">medical\u200c examiner<\/a> has not yet determined the cause of death,\u2062 but\u2062 police are \u200basking for any information that could help solve \u2062the case. \u2062Martinez&#8217;s\u200c mother hopes that whoever \u2062is responsible will come forward and provide some closure for her family. They believe that the 2024 election is the most important of our lifetime\u2062 and are committed to providing honest coverage.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/news\/\">  News <\/a>  <\/p>\n<h2>Nearly Complete Skeleton Found, Identified as 20-Year-Old Who Went Missing Last Year<\/h2>\n<p> <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/russdavis\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/russdavis\/%20\"><span>Jack Davis<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   June 7, 2024 at 12:20pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>Police in Georgia are trying to solve the macabre mystery of how the body of a local woman who went missing last year came to be found in Tennessee less than six months later as nothing but a skeleton.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Cobb County Police Department, Maury-Ange Faith Martinez, 20, of Gwinnett County, Georgia, was reported missing on August 28, 2023, the department announced according to a May 31 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo?fbid=763402262653183\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The department said she was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/man-went-missing-teen-found-alive-near-home-61-year-old-neighbor-arrested\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">last seen<\/a> in rural Cobb County, where the trail ran cold.<\/p>\n<p>However, it said that an analysis by the Hamilton County, Tennessee, Medical Examiner determined that bones bound Jan. 5 near Chattanooga are those of Martinez.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Skeletal Remains Found in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Chattanooga?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Chattanooga<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Tennessee?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Tennessee<\/a> are <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Missing?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Missing<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Georgia?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Georgia<\/a> Woman\u2019s<br \/> Remains of 20yo Maury-Ange Faith Martinez, missing since Aug 28, were found Jan 4 by 7600 blk of Ferdinand Piech Way near Gestamp plant<br \/> TIPS-770-499-3945<br \/> ANONYMOUS-404-577-8477 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/yrR5ZiWbNJ\">https:\/\/t.co\/yrR5ZiWbNJ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 G (@notisaidtheworm) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/notisaidtheworm\/status\/1798732243420278929?\">June 6, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe urge anyone who may have seen or had contact with Maury-Ange around the time of her disappearance or who may have any information related to her case to come forward,\u201d Cobb County police said..<\/p>\n<p>Martinez\u2019s skeletal remains were found not far from a Volkswagen manufacturing plant in Chattanooga, a medical examiner\u2019s report said, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesfreepress.com\/news\/2024\/jun\/03\/remains-found-near-volkswagen-plant-linked-to\/\">Chattanooga Times Free Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The bones were found not far from a roadway.<\/p>\n<p>The medical examiners\u2019 report said that other than bones, there was only a small amount of skin found when the body was discovered.<\/p>\n<p>The report said that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/award-winning-cnn-commentator-dead-58-lifeless-body-found-neighborhood-extraordinary-loss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">skeleton<\/a> did not show any damage that could have been caused by gunshots or blunt force trauma.<\/p>\n<p>Although there was some damage to the bones, the report said that took place after Martinez died. Some bones from the hands, feet and head were missing when the skeleton was found.<\/p>\n<p>No conclusions were drawn in the report about how Martinez died.<\/p>\n<p>Anita Darling, Martinez\u2019s mother, said she spoke to her daughter shortly before she went missing and had been en route to pick her up, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsbradio.com\/news\/local\/mom-alpharetta-woman-found-dead-says-she-was-moments-picking-daughter-up-when-she-vanished\/Z5SGYDGGVNFZBOSK6MIO47XEBU\/\">WSB-FM<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was nine minutes out and she called me from a number I didn\u2019t recognize and said that she knew this person and they were taking her back to where she needed to be,\u201d Darling said. \u201cExactly 10 p.m. that night was the last time she read my text. Very strange\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe loved fashion and color and photography, just making people feel good,\u201d Darling said of her daughter. \u201cI know that something happened to her. Her sisters deserve to know and I deserve to know. Step up and say something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Police said their focus is on learning who concealed Martinez\u2019s death and that they have several persons of interest.<\/p>\n<p>Darling said there was a sense of relief that she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/us-forest-service-shuts-top-tourist-spot-indefinitely-second-body-found\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">knew what happened<\/a> to her daughter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s not, you know, having things done to her,\u201d Darling said. \u201cShe\u2019s not being tortured.
