And after reviewing them \u2026 I will tell you I am absolutely convinced that this is an orchestrated political cover-up because the shooter was a transgender who was on various medications but basically was prone to high levels of violence,\u201d Michael Patrick Leahy, CEO and editor-in-chief of The Tennessee Star and its parent company the Star News Network, told me Wednesday on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iheart.com\/podcast\/477-the-dan-odonnell-show-27550539\/episode\/matt-kittle-fills-in-for-dan-182956774\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Dan O\u2019Donnell Show<\/a> in Milwaukee. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1798067433\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-d7c74aeaae2009ffb347dff374a7033a fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-d7c74aeaae2009ffb347dff374a7033a\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2018Legacy Tokens\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Leahy and his company filed a <a href=\"https:\/\/will-law.org\/star-news-digital-media-et-al-v-federal-bureau-of-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lawsuit<\/a> on May 10, 2023, demanding the FBI turn over the manifesto and related communications of <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/07\/26\/nashville-school-shooter-audrey-hale-had-handwritten-notes-on-clothes-numbered-anklet-autopsy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Audrey Elizabeth Hale,<\/a> the 28-year-old killer who was shot dead by police minutes after she began her deadly errand. Leahy and Star News also <a href=\"https:\/\/aflegal.org\/america-first-legal-sues-nashville-tn-police-department-for-illegally-concealing-nashville-school-shooter-audrey-hales-manifesto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sued<\/a> the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, alleging the agency violated the state\u2019s public record laws in refusing to release the documents to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/washpost-publisher-slams-biden-for-unprecedented-assault-on-media\/\" title=\"WashPost Publisher Slams Biden for 'Unprecedented Assault' on Media\">news organizations seeking<\/a> them. I, too, am a plaintiff in the lawsuits as one of the Star News Network\u2019s investigative reporters covering the shooting at the time. The U.S. Department of Justice hastily denied my Freedom of Information Act request seeking the Covenant Killer\u2019s manifesto. <\/p>\n<p>One day after the Star News Network sued the FBI, the agency sent the chief the memo titled <a href=\"https:\/\/tennesseestar.com\/justice\/fbi-memo-on-protection-of-legacy-tokens-sent-to-nashville-police-in-may-2023-opposed-release-of-covenant-killer-documents-cited-destruction-precedent\/tpappert\/2024\/06\/05\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cProtection of Legacy Tokens.\u201d<\/a> The memo, obtained by the Tennessee Star, \u201cstrongly discourages\u201d MNPD from releasing \u201clegacy tokens\u201d left by a mass murderer. In this case, it appears the FBI\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbi.gov\/about\/faqs\/what-is-the-critical-incident-response-group\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Critical Incident Response Group,<\/a> based in\u00a0 Quantico, Va., was referring to Hale and her manifesto, which reportedly details the killer\u2019s motives and madness. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat you may ask is a \u2018legacy token?\u2019 As it turns out, it\u2019s a made-up word from the FBI that refers to any documents or videos prepared by the instigator of a mass shooting to be discovered later, which shows the motivation for that,\u201d Leahy said. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2018Experts Agree\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>The memo goes on to advise the chief that there is precedent for destroying such macabre communications. It notes law enforcement officials destroyed the <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolshooters.info\/sites\/default\/files\/columbine_basement_tapes_1.0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cbasement tapes\u201d<\/a> produced by the teen mass murderers in the 1999 Columbine High School shootings. FBI officials warn that the release of manifestos and other mass shooting materials only feeds the fires of twisted minds, emboldening them to carry out similar attacks. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-22ef11920c8461f748b71c70af455c0c fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-22ef11920c8461f748b71c70af455c0c\"><\/div>\n<p>Releasing legacy tokens is \u201clikely\u201d to \u201cspark incredibly intense interest and study by potential offenders who are considering a school-based attack,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/tennesseestar.com\/justice\/fbi-memo-on-protection-of-legacy-tokens-sent-to-nashville-police-in-may-2023-opposed-release-of-covenant-killer-documents-cited-destruction-precedent\/tpappert\/2024\/06\/05\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">memo states<\/a>. FBI officials claimed \u201c[e]xperts agree\u201d that \u201climiting the availability of legacy tokens for ideation, study, and inspiration by those considering an attack\u201d is a prudent course of action.<\/p>\n<p>Open government and free press advocates strongly disagree. The combined lawsuit against the Metro Nashville Police Department includes news outlets, a Second Amendment advocacy organization, and a police union in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennessean.com\/story\/news\/crime\/2023\/05\/08\/covenant-shooter-manifesto-to-be-filed-with-judge-for-private-review\/70196042007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">plaintiff ranks<\/a> \u2014 each raising the same concern: making law enforcement the gatekeeper of such information puts in peril the public\u2019s right to know. <\/p>\n<p>More so, President Joe Biden\u2019s FBI, as it did in trying to shut down the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election, claims releasing mass killer documents and video would only spread \u201cfalse narratives.\u201d Sound familiar? Federal agencies \u2014 from <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/06\/03\/us-news\/the-key-moments-when-dr-anthony-fauci-contradicted-himself-during-heated-covid-hearing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Anthony Fauci\u2019s<\/a> National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to the Big Brother <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/03\/05\/why-cisas-censorship-and-election-interference-work-is-the-most-insidious-attack-on-american-democracy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CISA<\/a> (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) \u2014 have worked with Big Tech and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/border-patrol-arrests-two-illegal-immigrants-from-yemen-on-fbi-terror-watch-list\/\" title=\"Border Patrol Arrests Two Illegal Immigrants From Yemen On FBI Terror Watch List\">corporate media outlets<\/a> to suppress \u201cdisinformation\u201d that has turned out to be uncomfortable and inconvenient information for the powers that be. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPublic access to legacy tokens will also facilitate false narratives and inaccurate information,\u201d the FBI claimed, adding that making mass shooter manifestos public will lead to \u201cpontificators\u201d and \u201cself-professed \u2018experts\u2019\u201d who \u201cwill proffer their perspectives\u201d in the press, \u201cpotentially inflaming the public.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-b0b0f3bb2c614abb2b284c7772b7b8be fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-b0b0f3bb2c614abb2b284c7772b7b8be\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Protecting Biden\u2019s Trans Agenda<\/h2>\n<p>Releasing the manifesto and related documents from Audrey Hale, who seemed to believe she was a man named Aiden, would disrupt the Biden administration\u2019s demand that Americans genuflect at the altar of transgender rights. It might also debunk some of the narratives spun by the LGBT network insisting transgenderism is mainstream. <\/p>\n<p>Four days after the Covenant Christian school shootings, Biden issued a statement insisting that \u201cTransgender Americans shape our Nation\u2019s soul.\u201d As New York Post columnist Miranda Devine <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/04\/02\/the-biden-white-house-is-uninterested-in-honoring-the-nashville-shooting-victims\/\">noted,<\/a> the far-left president railed against \u201cMAGA extremists [who] are advancing hundreds of hateful and extreme state laws that target transgender kids and their families. \u2026 These attacks are un-American and must end.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Divine pointed out that in the wake of the Covenant School murders, corporate media decided the real victims were members of the \u201cTrans Community,\u201d racked with fear \u201camid focus on Nashville shooter\u2019s gender identity,\u201d as the NBC News headline <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/nbc-out\/out-news\/fear-pervades-tennessees-trans-community-focus-nashville-shooters-gend-rcna77066\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">screamed.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>As the Tennessee Star <a href=\"https:\/\/tennesseestar.com\/policy\/dojs-shadowy-community-relations-service-may-be-behind-covenant-killer-manifesto-coverup-sources-say\/mkittle\/2023\/05\/13\/\">reported<\/a> in May 2023, the Department of Justice operates a shadowy uncomfortable information suppresser known as the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/crs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Community Relations Service.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe CRS was involved in the George Zimmerman case, with evidence to suggest the shadowy unit helped <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2013\/07\/10\/politics\/peacekeepers-zimmerman\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">organize rallies<\/a> over the self-defense shooting of black teen Trayvon Martin. The CRS was involved in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/democrats-who-keep-claiming-michael-brown-was-murdered-are-unfit-for-office\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Ferguson<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baltimore6.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Baltimore-Six<\/a> case, and others,\u201d the publication reported. \u201cCreated by Title X of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the CRS was ostensibly designed to help state and local governments, private and public organizations, educational institutions, and community groups resolve racial issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/crs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">America\u2019s Peacekeeper<\/a> for communities in conflict,\u2019 CRS is charged with \u2018mediating disputes and enhancing community capacity to independently prevent and resolve future conflicts,\u2019\u201d the article continues. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the service\u2019s background status gives it the ability to \u2018control the information that is at the center of their topic, charge or investigation,\u2019\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/theconservativetreehouse.com\/blog\/2023\/05\/04\/position-reversed-again-nashville-police-refuse-to-release-transgender-audrey-hale-christian-murder-manifesto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">critics<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a raft of documents obtained by the Tennessee Star paints a picture of a deeply troubled biological woman militantly rallying around the trans flag. Among the \u201cdozens of handwritten pages,\u201d the Star this week reported that one of the documents had previously been leaked to conservative commentator Steven Crowder.
