Biden&#8217;s regulations have sparked controversy\u200c and legal challenges.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>A group of nearly 70 House Republicans introduced a bill on Wednesday to reverse the Biden administration\u2019s changes to Title IX forcing public schools to allow trans-identifying males to compete in women\u2019s sports and use women\u2019s bathrooms.<\/p>\n<p>Representative Mary Miller (R-IL) <a href=\"https:\/\/marymiller.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/rep-mary-miller-introduces-legislation-reverse-bidens-title-ix-rule-which\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">led<\/a> 67 of her GOP colleagues in the House in introducing the bill, which would nix the changes.<\/p>\n<p>Miller called the administration\u2019s new regulations a \u201cblatant violation\u201d of Title IX\u2019s protections for women.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden is undermining years of progress women have made in securing their rights under Title IX,\u201d Miller said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor more than half a century, Title IX has protected women and girls, ensuring they have equal opportunities in education,\u201d the congresswoman said. \u201cHowever, the Biden Administration is putting our girls at risk by allowing men to access women\u2019s and girls\u2019 bathrooms and locker rooms. This divergence is a blatant violation of the protections Title IX was meant to guarantee, and it undermines the very foundation of women\u2019s rights and security in their private spaces.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Miller had a heated exchange with Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra over transgender medical interventions for minors during a House committee hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Miller asked Becerra to commit to not withholding federal funding from hospitals that refuse to provide transgender medical services for religious reasons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf a health facility is violating the law and not providing the service they\u2019re required to, they\u2019re not entitled to the resources,\u201d Becerra responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe guidance on your website tells children how great puberty blockers are,\u201d Miller <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tZ_6PzWC6S8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> Becerra. \u201cI want to stop people like you that are forcing these non-reversible treatments on children.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udea8After attempting to lie, HHS Secretary Becerra says the quiet part out loud. First, the criteria must be related to an \u201cimportant educational objective,\u201d and second, the criteria must also \u201cminimize harms\u201d to the trans-identified student.<\/p>\n<p>Preventing sports-related injuries would be an example of an \u201cimportant educational objective,\u201d the department noted.<\/p>\n<p>High school girls have been injured playing with trans-identifying males.
