The Daily Wire host and co-founder is backing Trump and thinks he will win because of Biden\u2019s poor performance as president.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThis is always the proviso: if Donald Trump can keep his trap somewhat shut, he is going to win,\u201d Shapiro said. \u201cIf this is a referendum on Joe Biden\u2019s leadership, Donald Trump will win. If Donald Trump makes himself the center of the election, then that\u2019s a dicier issue for him, obviously.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Shapiro and Morgan covered a variety of topics during the roughly 30-minute interview, such as Trump\u2019s conviction last week on 34 felony counts in Manhattan. Shapiro has called the verdict a \u201cput-up job\u201d and the result of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-republicans-divided-over-taking-sides-in-trump-desantis-battle\/\" title=\"House Republicans divided over taking sides in Trump, DeSantis battle\">politically motivated targeting<\/a> of Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/josh-hawley-calls-for-ag-garlands-impeachment-after-mar-a-lago-raid\/\" title=\"Josh Hawley Calls For AG Garland\u2019s Impeachment After Mar-a-Lago Raid\">chief political opponent<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Morgan asked Shapiro if Trump had contributed to his own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/inside-the-nras-strategy-to-escape-disaster\/\" title=\"Inside the NRA\u2019s Strategy to Escape Disaster\">political persecution<\/a> by pushing \u201clock her up\u201d chants, referring to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, at his rallies in 2016. Shapiro said there is no comparison between the slogan popular at Trump\u2019s 2016 rallies and the actual prosecution and potential jailing of a major political figure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI\u2019ve met Donald Trump, I\u2019ve been covering him for years obviously. If you take everything that Donald Trump says at pure face value, you\u2019re a fool,\u201d Shapiro said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cHe didn\u2019t do it,\u201d Shapiro continued, referring to prosecuting Clinton. \u201cHe was president of the United States. His DOJ was in charge. And he didn\u2019t do it. And Joe Biden has been in charge for three years, and guess what? His DOJ is coming after Donald Trump in two separate jurisdictions, in Florida and in D.C. You\u2019ve got local DAs in Atlanta and in New York going after Donald Trump. Kinda weird how it happens whenever it is the Democrats, but when Republicans talk about it, somehow that\u2019s equivalent? I don\u2019t buy it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The November election may not come down to Biden versus Trump, according to Shapiro.
