The NYPD is now moving towards full revocation, with Trump surrendering two pistols. Now the New York City Police Department is reportedly preparing to revoke it entirely.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to a senior NYPD official, Trump relinquished two pistols he was licensed to carry on March 31, 2023, but another gun listed on Trump\u2019s license \u201cwas lawfully moved to Florida,\u201d CNN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/06\/05\/politics\/trump-gun-nypd-revoke\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>. The official said an investigation by the NYPD\u2019s Legal Bureau \u201cwill likely lead to revocation of his license,\u201d although Trump could challenge such a decision in a hearing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Because Trump was convicted of 34 felonies at his Manhattan trial, it is a federal crime for him to possess a firearm.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Trump has had a license from the\u00a0NYPD\u00a0to carry a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-lawmakers-push-to-loosen-gun-restrictions-in-several-states\/\" title=\"GOP lawmakers push to loosen gun restrictions in several states\">concealed firearm<\/a> for more than a decade, law enforcement sources told CNN.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The verdict in Trump\u2019s trial has been harshly criticized. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>\u201cI disagree with the jury\u2019s verdict here. A jury can only act within the constraints that a judge puts on it, and this case was rigged from the very beginning. You had Alvin Bragg, who campaigned on getting Donald Trump.
