Former President Donald Trump, a proponent of Second Amendment rights, confronts possible \u200dgun rights limitations\u200c enforced by \u200bNew York Democrats.\u200c Despite \u2062holding a concealed carry\u200c license for an extended\u2064 time, the NYPD may revoke it following indictments and guilty \u2064pleas to felonies. \u200dChallenging this action appears daunting amidst perceived political targeting.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/commentary\/\">  Commentary <\/a>   <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/ccavanaugh\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/ccavanaugh\/%20\"><span>Connor Cavanaugh<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   June 5, 2024 at 9:19pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>After mostly upholding the Second Amendment rights of Americans during his time in the Oval Office, former President Donald Trump is about to have his own gun rights trampled by the Democrats controlling New York.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has maintained his concealed carry license for quite some time, at least during the entire time he was in office and thereafter.<\/p>\n<p>But when Trump was indicted in March 2023, the state of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/sean-hannity-follows-vow-ditch-new-york-good-lists-13-75-million-mansion-sale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York<\/a> decided to quietly suspend his carry license with two of the three pistols registered under him being surrendered to the NYPD, per <a href=\"https:\/\/amp.cnn.com\/cnn\/2024\/06\/05\/politics\/trump-gun-nypd-revoke\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The third gun was \u201clawfully moved to Florida,\u201d the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>But now the license is on the brink of being taken as the NYPD is readying to revoke the Republican\u2019s license to carry.<\/p>\n<p>It is a federal crime for felons to possess a firearm.<\/p>\n<p>After pleading guilty to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-issues-defiant-response-guilty-verdict-real-verdict-going-nov-5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">34 felony counts<\/a> in court, Trump has been forced to carry that title against his will.<\/p>\n<p>In response, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/32-insulate-britain-eco-warriors-face-up-to-two-years-in-prison-for-blocking-motorways\/\" title=\"32 Insulate Britain Eco-Warriors Face Up to Two Years in Prison for Blocking Motorways\">legal bureau<\/a> of the NYPD will conduct an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-engoron-investigation-happened-slapping-trump-454-million-fine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">investigation<\/a> \u201cthat will likely lead to revocation of his license,\u201d a senior police officer told CNN.<\/p>\n<p>Trump will have the ability to challenge the revocation in a hearing, though with the disdain which the New York legal system clearly has against the politician, it would likely be a lost cause.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Is Trump being persecuted?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>While of course Trump does not need to carry a gun since he has constant Secret Service protection, it shows just how far the leftists are going to prosecute and torment him.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, it is common for the state of New York to revoke gun licenses for criminals after their convictions, but this is far from a typical case.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has been politically prosecuted by the state of New York and the vengeful Democrats who run it.<\/p>\n<p>Taking away his license is just another way for them to chastise and punish him.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re taking advantage of a case with numerous, large red flags to revoke his constitutionally guaranteed rights, because they can.<\/p>\n<p>What will they do next?<\/p>\n<p>Put him on probation so they can watch everything he does?<\/p>\n<p>Force him to pay immense sums of money in an attempt to bankrupt him?<\/p>\n<p>Those in charge are truly all-in against Trump simply because he fought for an America that didn\u2019t fit their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/justice-sotomayor-reality-liberal-conservative-court-live-frustration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">leftist<\/a> worldview.<\/p>\n<p>If they\u2019re able to do all of this to him, imagine what they can do to an average American without the resources of the former president.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>\u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d Those 12 words have been stuck in my head since I first read them. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Former Lt.
