The decision marks a stand\u2063 for individual choice and autonomy.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Virginia Governor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/glenn-youngkin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Glenn Youngkin<\/a> announced this week that he is withdrawing the state from participation in California\u2019s extreme auto emissions standards.<\/p>\n<p>The move from Youngkin comes after Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares said that the state was not required to comply with California\u2019s mandates that start next year, which were initiated by the Democrat state\u2019s unelected California Air Resources Board (CARB).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce again, Virginia is declaring independence \u2013 this time from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/youngkin-says-virginia-will-exit-california-electric-vehicle-mandate\/\" title=\"Youngkin plans for Virginia to opt out of California's EV mandate\">misguided electric vehicle mandate imposed<\/a> by unelected leaders nearly 3,000 miles away from the Commonwealth,\u201d Youngkin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.virginia.gov\/newsroom\/news-releases\/2024\/june\/name-1028520-en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> in a press release. \u201cThe idea that government should tell people what kind of car they can or can\u2019t purchase is fundamentally wrong. Virginians deserve the freedom to choose which vehicles best fit the needs of their families and businesses.
