Barr criticized \u200bthe case as an &#8220;abomination,&#8221; \u2063questioning \u200dits basis \u200cduring an interview. Barr \u200ccriticized the case \u200das an &#8220;abomination,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-chairwoman-ward-wants-decertification-of-ariz-election-results\/\" title=\"GOP chairwoman Ward wants decertification of Ariz. election results\">raising concerns<\/a> \u2064during an interview.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Former U.S. Attorney General <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/william-barr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bill Barr<\/a> said this week that he believes the conviction in the Manhattan District Attorney\u2019s Office\u2019s criminal case against former President Donald Trump is likely to be \u201coverturned\u201d because there was \u201cno crime\u201d committed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said from the very start that this was an abomination,\u201d Barr said during an interview. \u201cAnd I actually was surprised that they went ahead with the case because there really was nothing there. There was no crime there and they never were able to really articulate it until after the defense rested its case. So I thought the whole thing was a travesty. I wasn\u2019t surprised by the verdict because the way the case was conducted, there was never really any discipline on trying to make the prosecutor establish what the elements of the crime were and what evidence he had to do it. It was just assumed from the beginning that there was some kind of Federal Election Campaign violation, which there wasn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barr warned that the case was damaging to political discourse in the U.S. and to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cdc-says-immunocompromised-may-get-fourth-covid-shot\/\" title=\"CDC Says Immunocompromised May Get Fourth COVID Shot\">general health<\/a> of the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis case is going to be overruled because there are just multiple errors and violations of constitutional rights,\u201d he said. \u201cThis will be eventually overruled after the election. But what happens if there\u2019s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-addresses-supporters-at-save-america-march\/\" title=\"President Trump addresses supporters at \u2018Save America March\u2019\">close election<\/a> and Biden squeaks through and then the case is overruled? Half the country is going to feel that this was a stolen election.
