The New York City Police Department is preparing to \u200dwithdraw his permit,\u200d and two of \u2063his three licensed pistols have already been surrendered. This \u2063action follows the\u200c suspension of\u200c Trump&#8217;s concealed carry license on April 1, 2023.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a> is expected to lose his license to carry a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/supreme-court-begins-hearing-arguments-to-bidens-vaccine-rules\/\" title=\"Supreme Court Begins Hearing Arguments To Biden\u2019s Vaccine Rules\">gun due<\/a> to his conviction last week of falsifying business records.<\/p>\n<p>An official with the New York City Police Department <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/06\/05\/politics\/trump-gun-nypd-revoke\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>told<\/a> CNN that the department was preparing to revoke the Republican presidential candidate\u2019s gun permit.<\/p>\n<p>After being indicted on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cbp-ice-release-reports-on-border-arrests-seizures\/\" title=\"CBP, ICE release reports on border arrests, seizures\">criminal charges<\/a>, Trump\u2019s New York concealed carry license was suspended on April 1, 2023. Just a day before, two of the three pistols he was licensed to carry were turned over to the NYPD. (AP Photo\/Julia Nikhinson)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Possession of a gun by a convicted felon is a federal crime, and if Trump were not to hand over the gun, he could be sent to prison for several years.<\/p>\n<p>The NYPD\u2019s Legal Bureau is completing its investigation to determine whether or not to revoke Trump\u2019s license and is likely to do so, according to multiple reports. Trump would have the option to seek a hearing to challenge the revocation.<\/p>\n<p>For over a decade, Trump has had a concealed carry license in the state of New York, but since Trump\u2019s application came with a request to remain confidential, his records are exempted from being shared with the public.<\/p>\n<p>When reached for comment, the Trump campaign did not address the license to carry or the NYPD but instead directed its anger at Biden, saying, \u201cBiden\u2019s cronies in the Democrat Party are panicked and have chosen to continue to abuse our once great justice system to pursue their No. 1 political opponent and interfere in the coming election.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden has maintained his separation from all legal matters concerning Trump.<\/p>\n<p>During his 2016 campaign, Trump made the comment that he could shoot someone in the middle of Manhattan and would not lose support from his base.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn\u2019t lose any voters,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>However, since Trump was found guilty in the hush money trial, there appears to be a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/06\/05\/upshot\/polling-trump-conviction-voters.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>small shift<\/a> by voters in favor of Biden over Trump.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former President Donald Trump faces the loss of his gun license following a business records falsification conviction.
