(Even after one foul was rescinded, Reese will still have a fine of $200, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/wnba-rescinds-technical-foul-given-190109290.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USA Today<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRef that threw out @Reese10Angel is weak btw. You know who you are (Keep ya money Angel I got you),\u201d Ball wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Reese was called for her fifth personal foul in the final minutes of the fourth quarter as the Sky were on their way to an 88-75 loss to the Liberty.<\/p>\n<p>Referee Charles Watson added two technical fouls and ejected her.<\/p>\n<p>After the game, Sky coach Teresa Weatherspoon said publicly she was puzzled by the whole affair.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI tried to get an explanation. It\u2019s more about composure for us in our young years in the WNBA. You\u2019ve got to get to know refs and how they respond to things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Writing on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/columnist\/nancy-armour\/2024\/06\/05\/angel-reese-caitlin-clark\/73980735007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USA Today<\/a>, columnist Nancy Armour argued in the past few weeks, Reese and arch-rival <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/megyn-kelly-savages-wnba-players-cheap-shots-caitlin-clark-try-like\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caitlin Clark<\/a> of the Indiana Fever have been reduced to caricatures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNeither Clark nor Reese asked for the roles they\u2019ve been assigned, Clark as the savior of the W and Reese the WWE-style anti-hero,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Did the referees make the right decision?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cExpecting the rest of the W to roll out the red carpet every time Clark steps on the floor erases the progress of the previous 27 years and the women responsible for it. Ignores the role Reese and other young players have in the skyrocketing interest, too. Demanding the league step in and protect Clark is patronizing, suggesting she\u2019s not strong enough to hold her own,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd painting Reese as the female Dennis Rodman disregards her considerable talent and hard work.
