Since Biden\u2019s inauguration in 2021, he has undermined border security more than <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/02\/05\/65-times-biden-gutted-border-security-since-taking-the-white-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">60 times<\/a>, as The Federalist has documented. As Speaker Mike Johnson said, Biden \u201chas manipulated the federal bureaucracy to open our borders to illegal immigrants, human trafficking, fentanyl, and potential terrorists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The White House <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2024\/06\/04\/fact-sheet-president-biden-announces-new-actions-to-secure-the-border\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said in a statement Tuesday<\/a>, \u201cPresident Biden believes we must secure our border.\u201d\u00a0Yet the first executive orders he signed after his inauguration included halting the border wall construction that started under former President Trump, ending restrictions on immigration from countries rife with terrorism, and expanding the \u201cillegal\u201d Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which invites cartels to traffick children into the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>Now, as Biden tries to clean up his roundly criticized immigration record, it\u2019s worth noting his executive order will not mitigate the crisis. The order still allows thousands of migrants to illegally cross the border, as many as 2,500 per day. Another nearly half-million migrants could illegally enter the country before November without the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/desantis-feds-being-scarce-with-monoclonal-antibody-distribution-is-leading-to-people-dying\/\" title=\"DeSantis: Feds Being 'Scarce' with Monoclonal Antibody Distribution Is 'Leading to People Dying'\">federal government taking<\/a> any action.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s no surprise that after years of standing idly by, Biden is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/daily-feed-4-14-23\/\" title=\"Daily Feed 4\/14\/23\">finally taking action<\/a> just months before the 2024 election. His <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/biden-approval-rating\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">approval rating<\/a> has dropped to 38.3 percent, while Americans continually cite immigration as the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/644570\/immigration-named-top-problem-third-straight-month.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">most important problem facing the U.S.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The president is also on the cusp of a debate with former President Donald Trump, the 2024 front-runner who curbed the flow of illegal immigration through policies such as \u201cRemain in Mexico\u201d and is sure to grill Biden on his disastrous handling of the border.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Arianna Villarreal is a summer intern at The Federalist.
