Rasmussen Reports demonstrated Trump with a 48%-43% lead over Biden. Both\u2064 candidates have solid support within their parties, with Trump leading among independent voters.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Two 2024 voter tracking polls taken after former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>President Donald Trump<\/a> was convicted of 34 counts last <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/youtube-deletes-all-copies-of-president-trumps-cpac-speech-suspends-rsbn-for-two-weeks\/\" title=\"YouTube Deletes All Copies of President Trump\u2019s CPAC Speech, Suspends RSBN for Two Weeks\">week showed<\/a> that the Republican has maintained an edge over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/3027145\/biden-trump-2024-run-disturbing-first-post-conviction-fundraiser\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>President Joe Biden<\/a>, demonstrating it is going to take more than a court case to shake up the election.<\/p>\n<p>First out on Tuesday was a <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.morningconsult.com\/trackers\/2024-presidential-election-polling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Morning Consult<\/a> survey showing Biden dropping 2 points to 43% and Trump steady at 44%.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBiden posted his best support among Democratic voters (88%) since April, but he continues to underperform Trump among their respective supporters from 2020 (84% to 90%),\u201d the poll analysis said.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<blockquote data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<div lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>New Morning Consult poll w\/expanded post-conviction survey dates moves from Biden +1 to Trump +1. <\/p>\n<p>FYI, Trump&#8217;s number never moved. Prior to the conviction in the hush money trial, Trump held an 8-point lead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth Trump and Biden retain the overwhelming support of their party base, but Trump has a double-digit advantage among independent voters,\u201d Rasmussen\u2019s analysis said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the two-way matchup, 84% of Republicans would vote for Trump, while 82% of Democrats would vote for Biden. Many supported former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley in the primaries, even after she bowed out of the race.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lakeresearch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Democratic pollster Celinda Lake<\/a> has looked into those voters, many of whom are women and suburbanites, Trump\u2019s toughest crowd. At a special briefing Monday night for <a href=\"https:\/\/winwithwomen.nationbuilder.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Win With Women<\/a> of Washington State, Lake said she expected the verdict to make a \u201cbig difference\u201d in their support for Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNumber one, there are about 17% to 20% of Republicans who say they will not vote for someone convicted of a felony. These are the people that were uncommitted. These are the people that were Haley voters,\u201d Lake said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven if it\u2019s half of that, that could be 6% of the electorate. This race is going to be close,\u201d Lake said.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/washington-secrets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SEE THE LATEST POLITICAL NEWS AND BUZZ FROM WASHINGTON SECRETS<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-andrew-cuomo-considering-run-for-ny-attorney-general-post\/\" title=\"Report: Andrew Cuomo Considering Run for NY Attorney General Post\">longtime pollster<\/a>, who has worked with the Biden team, said the right messaging by Democrats could have an impact on the Haley supporters to keep them from voting for Trump, though she said it is unlikely they will take the next step and switch to Biden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think this can become a major part of a character contrast.
