Ebrahim Raisi, the eighth president of Iran, was one of the casualties. However, the world is undoubtedly a better place without Raisi in it. His reputation richly earned the moniker the \u201cButcher of Tehran.\u201d <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1424411051\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-d96e5d90a13eda7e89e1e805f7d26280 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-d96e5d90a13eda7e89e1e805f7d26280\"><\/div>\n<p>The administration\u2019s first concern was about ensuring Iran knew the U.S. did not assassinate Raisi, lest it incur Tehran\u2019s wrath. Out of fear, it chose to appease by treating Raisi like any other fallen foreign leader. The appeasement was ham-handed, granted sucking up to the regime could have made the Biden administration look a bit more guilty.\u00a0The State Department <a href=\"https:\/\/www.state.gov\/on-the-death-of-iranian-president-raisi-and-others-in-a-helicopter-crash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">extended<\/a> its \u201cofficial condolences.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>When the United Nations Security Council held a moment of silence for Raisi, U.S. Deputy Ambassador to the UN Robert Wood stood in solidarity with our adversaries to honor him. <\/p>\n<p>Raisi, a U.S.-sanctioned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/opinion\/article-717858\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">should-have-been-pariah<\/a> seen as a potential successor to the evil theocrat Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, oversaw the execution of thousands of political prisoners in the 1980s, cracked down on the Green Movement protests in 2009, and likewise brutally suppressed the \u201cWoman, Life, Freedom\u201d protesters of recent years.\u00a0This list is not exhaustive of the terror Raisi has caused.<\/p>\n<p>When pressed on why the administration offered its sympathies to the world\u2019s leading state sponsor of jihad upon the death of someone responsible for terrorizing Americans, Israelis, Iranians, and countless other innocents, White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2024\/05\/20\/on-the-record-press-gaggle-by-white-house-national-security-communications-advisor-john-kirby-12\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>: <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-2eede50b81ca2ec21b06f5d660a32b56 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-2eede50b81ca2ec21b06f5d660a32b56\"><\/div>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>No question this was a man who had a lot of blood on his hands.\u00a0That said, as we would in any other case, we certainly regret in general the loss of life, and offered official condolences as appropriate.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Iran knew the U.S. was not complicit in the crash, as this would have contradicted more than a decade of Obama-Biden policy to placate the mullahs. <\/p>\n<p>In fact, Iran solicited American help in the recovery effort. The Biden administration was happy to accommodate that request, though it proved \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/us-says-it-was-unable-provide-iran-assistance-after-helicopter-cash-2024-05-20\/#:~:text=WASHINGTON%2C%20May%2020%20(Reuters),as%20Washington%20offered%20its%20condolences.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unable<\/a>\u201d to help given purported logistical issues.\u00a0Not to mention Washington essentially <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/world\/middle-east\/u-s-secretly-alerted-iran-ahead-of-islamic-state-terrorist-attack-af77a19a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tipped off<\/a> Tehran to an impending Islamic State terror attack back in January, and we now learn the Biden administration has been maintaining a robust <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2024\/05\/20\/gaza-war-endgame-us-saudi-arabia-hamas-israel-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">backchannel<\/a> Iran. <\/p>\n<p>Recall that the Biden administration worked overtime to de-link Iran from the Oct. 7 attack and prevented Israel from striking Iran-backed Hezbollah hard in the massacre\u2019s wake, forcing tens of thousands of Israelis to evacuate from the north and rendering them refugees in their own country now for over half a year. Biden imposed superficial <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/01\/23\/opinion\/bidens-lame-houthi-listing-wont-deter-the-terrorists-or-their-backer-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sanctions<\/a> on the Iran-backed Houthis in response to their maritime blockade and repeated attacks on U.S. assets \u2014 while continuing to allow oil revenues to flow into Tehran\u2019s coffers and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cruz-moves-to-take-taxpayer-money-from-iran-nuclear-deal-and-give-to-military-dogs\/\" title=\"Cruz Moves to Take Taxpayer Money from Iran Nuclear Deal and Give to Military Dogs\">granting sanctions waivers<\/a> still further underwriting the regime\u2019s malign efforts. The administration furiously rushed to distance itself from the strike on Iranian military leaders attributed to Israel in Syria, a strike that preceded Iran\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/us-shot-down-nearly-half-of-the-drones-iran-launched-in-israel-attack\/\" title=\"The US successfully intercepted almost half of the drones Iran deployed during the attack on Israel\">unprecedented direct attack<\/a> on the Jewish state. <\/p>\n<p>The same underlying rationale drives the administration\u2019s condolences for Raisi, setting aside whatever diplomatic niceties toward monsters and moral cretins, particularly in anti-American international forums, that leftism otherwise demands.  <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-336a8402e08a380551824f56ab246d26 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-336a8402e08a380551824f56ab246d26\"><\/div>\n<p>Meanwhile, within hours of Raisi\u2019s death, International Criminal Court prosecutor Karim Khan announced he was filing applications for warrants of arrest for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, alongside three Hamas leaders.\u00a0Khan alleges that Netanyahu and Gallant are responsible for starving and intentionally targeting civilians and engaging in other crimes against humanity, making Israel\u2019s wartime leaders equivalent to those of Hamas\u2019 genocidal jihadist terror network. <\/p>\n<p>In a lesser-noticed act, Khan rendered Israel less legitimate than its would-be destroyers by referring to \u201ccrimes and crimes against humanity committed on the <em>territory<\/em> of Israel and the <em>State<\/em> of Palestine\u201d (emphasis mine).<\/p>\n<p>But remember, this is a Biden administration that has similarly slandered and castigated Israel over its war conduct, contributing to the same blood libel at the heart of the warrant applications. <\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the administration\u2019s most genuine expression of concern came at the end of Secretary of State Antony Blinken\u2019s response to the ICC, in which he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.state.gov\/warrant-applications-by-the-international-criminal-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a>: <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Fundamentally, this decision does nothing to help, and could jeopardize, ongoing efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement that would get hostages out [of Gaza] and surge humanitarian assistance in, which are the goals the United States continues to pursue relentlessly.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The persecution of Israel\u2019s political and military leadership is only likely to unify the country behind the Netanyahu-led government, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/international-criminal-court-benjamin-netanyahu-israel-prime-minister-gaza-war-politics-benny-gantz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">something its opponents openly lament<\/a>, making Israel all the more determined to destroy Hamas and win the war. <\/p>\n<p>The White House wants Israel to effectively surrender by ending the war in Gaza and ceding control over it to a bloc of U.S.-favored, often Hamas-sympathetic forces. All would be part of an effort to cement Iran\u2019s de facto rule over lands to Israel\u2019s immediate north, west, and east, and beyond, isolating Israel and imperiling its existence to make Iran the regional hegemon. <\/p>\n<p>The administration\u2019s fingerprints are all over the recent public challenges to Netanyahu by war cabinet members, Minister Benny Gantz, and defense chief Gallant, over the war and post-war plans. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.middleeasteye.net\/news\/secret-iran-us-talks-gaza-war-undermined-raisi-death\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rumor<\/a> has it that the Biden administration is directly colluding with Iran in this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bleed-putin-dry-in-ukraine-will-nato-support-an-insurgency-against-russia\/\" title=\"Bleed Putin Dry in Ukraine: Will NATO Support an Insurgency Against Russia?\">regime change operation<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>More immediately, the Biden administration wants Israel boxed \u2014 to end the war in Gaza and prevent Israel from eliminating the threats from Iran and its proxies elsewhere \u2014 so there is quiet in the region.  <\/p>\n<p>The White House\u2019s fearmongering over \u201cescalation,\u201d compelling submission to Iran, and imposing strictures on Israel all may stem in the immediate term from genuine terror at the idea that oil prices could skyrocket with the Middle East ablaze, sending the U.S. economy into a tailspin, and the Biden administration packing come January 2025. <\/p>\n<p>That issue may trump whatever concerns the administration has about losing support from Muslim voters in Michigan and Minnesota \u2014 a political calculation that may well be fundamentally unsound anyway \u2014 let alone longer-term desires to make Iran the regional strong horse, whether rooted in malevolence, naivete, or greed.  <\/p>\n<p>Regardless, \u201cIran First\u201d sentiment governs all, from the condolences for Raisi to the condemnation of the ICC to the attempted coup against Netanyahu. <\/p>\n<p>America\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/10\/17\/3-things-americas-national-interest-demands-after-the-heinous-hamas-attack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">national interest<\/a> suffers as a consequence of this intervention on behalf of the world\u2019s leading state sponsor of jihad. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-81255c065c2ba0b736071d3380f984a7 fdrlst__b89e9-after-post-content\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-81255c065c2ba0b736071d3380f984a7\"><\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">    \t\t\t\t\t   \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Biden administration&#8217;s reactions to recent events hint at a &#8220;Iran First&#8221; agenda, jeopardizing US and ally interests.
