And that was not official business.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic has expressed concern that Fauci not only knew about the activity Morens described in emails and testimony but also participated in the same behavior.<\/p>\n<p>Fauci distanced himself from Morens, saying in his <a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Fauci-Testimony.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opening statement<\/a> that he \u201cknew nothing\u201d of his former aide using a personal email account or deleting emails to avoid FOIA requests, and he denied the use of a back channel at NIAID.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH), chairman of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, made a request to Fauci last week for communications from Fauci\u2019s personal email accounts and cell phone records by June 12.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1700760801843000&#038;usg=AOvVaw2PQrVSrJfhxNb4LcARqniG\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Responsive documents would relate to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, EcoHealth Alliance, Inc., the origins of COVID-19, or congressional oversight of these issues between January 1, 2020, and the present.<\/p>\n<p>In recent weeks, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/hhs-moves-to-defund-ecohealth-alliance-says-action-needed-to-protect-the-public-interest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cut off<\/a> EcoHealth Alliance and its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/hhs-blocks-prez-of-group-tied-to-wuhan-lab-from-receiving-federal-funds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">president<\/a>, Peter Daszak, from taxpayer funds amid scrutiny of the group\u2019s support of coronavirus research in China that may have resulted in a lab leak.<\/p>\n<p>Daszak was a recipient of the emails in which Morens spoke about bypassing the FOIA process and covert back channel.<\/p>\n<p>Fauci acknowledged that he may have spoken about Daszak with Morens because EcoHealth was a grantee, but pushed back on the suggestion that he sought to protect the virus research group and insisted that he did not use a private email to message Daszak.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/house-panel-requests-access-to-faucis-private-email-and-phone-records\">House Panel Requests Access To Fauci\u2019s Private Email And Phone Records<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Anthony Fauci stated he couldn&#8217;t remember using his private email for official duties.
